RE: Your favourite scale?
Thanks for the wishes Janardhan and wish you a Merry Christmas too. I think I have been a good boy this year and maybe oil might just spurt from some hole in the ground. You have 1:43 JCBs and tippers? Man, post some pics pronto. Cannot wait to see them.

RE: Your favourite scale?
hi friends, it seems like an important scale size of 1:87 has been missed out of the poll. there are a lot of companies like Herpa, Busch,Ixoto, Ricko, which manufacture models of this size with nice details.though they might be missing on some interior details but exterior details are pretty good in them. I love to collect all size scale models but i prefer 1:87, and 1:43 the most.

RE: Your favourite scale?
i voted for the 1:24 scale, because these are pocket friendly and saves space. space is a big problem for me.

another one that i like is the 1:32 scale, there are cars with good detailing.

RE: Your favourite scale?
1:24s has been my favorite scale since the start, however lately 1:18s has been hard to resist. I would also vote for 1:87 too since it matches well for HO scale(1:87) train dioramas.

RE: Your favourite scale?
As far as 1:24 scale goes, I would like to quote Aritrim here which he had commented when I had posted pics of my 1:24 scale models way long back:

"Karan close your eyes and ask yourself do you really like the 1:24s compared to the 1:18s? For me, I will buy 1 1:18 Autoart sacrificing 10 1:24s Maistos."

I agree with him 100%. I started out with 1:24 scale but stopped after I had 11 cars in this scale as then I had found the awesome appeal of 1:18. Never looked back since.

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)
