Best solution for cover up
It was a foggy day and the visibility was poor almost nothing was visible at the distance of a meter far from the wind screen of the vehicle. I was on my way to work driving at the speed of 40km/hr. I was almost late to work so that I accelerated my vehicle harder than previous. Suddenly I saw a big stone right in front of me so that I turned my steering a bit more and managed to prevent accident. Right part of car got totally scratched. For an instance I thought that repainting the vehicle might be the solution, whilst it's very costly so that I am planning to cover up the scratch with new Car wraps. I think that it's really a very good solution don't you?

RE: Best solution for cover up
As much as I would like to give you my opinion on this, the fact of the matter is the forum heading says "Model care and tips", which means this section is for discussing possible solutions to repairing damaged diecast scale models or for taking appropriate care of them. On the other hand, from what I can make out from your above post, you are talking of an actual 1:1 car, so it should go in "On the lighter side" section even though the incident was no doubt a serious one.

Also look forward to you actually contributing to the hobby of diecast collecting and not just posting help-me threads. We value someone who makes this forum enriching and brings in new perspectives on diecast collecting.

Cheers!!

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

RE: Best solution for cover up
Maybe he thought 1:1 is a scale too, so why not post the query here. Or maybe he drives scale models.

Anyway, try wax, or color specific wax.
