RE: Please introduce yourself
Today must be my lucky day! I can't believe how I never came across this website ever before. Darn it! Big Grin
I've been looking at members' collections, and I have to say that you guys have some ridiculous models. My model mania started when my dad bought me my first, a 1:24 De La Chapelle, by Majorette, in the summer of 1990. I played with it for months, loved the fact that the wheels would steer and that I could take a peek under the bonnet, and I took it with me everywhere I went. I was in love, and that's when it all started.
I couldn't be more happy to have found this forum; sure glad to be here and I hope to share some of my prized possessions (my only possessions, really) with you folks.

The 1:24 De La Chapelle in 2010.

RE: Please introduce yourself
Welcome to SMC groundforce and as Pratham rightly said, we would like to know your first name please. We are a small close-knit family of mad people here and first names bring more camaraderie to the group!! Your enthusiasm just shows in your very first post. I hope you have a blast here at SMC!!!

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

Welcome groundforce. You are at home here when it comes to scale models. The De La Chapelle is a beauty.

RE: Please introduce yourself
Welcome Karan and we hope to see yet another posting freak on the forum Big Grin

Its not about large numbers, its about the passion and enthusiasm towards collecting that you and other SMC members have.

The De La Chapelle is beautiful, is it the same that your dad gifted ??
