RE: Your favourite diecast maker in 1:18 scale
I have to say Minichamps because I really like their range of cars both in 1:43 and 1:18. Quality wise, Autoart has an upper hand or had one but their recent offerings have some quality issues. Kyosho is nice too but Ari and I know the really serious paint issues we seen on their BMW 7er. I also have some Mercedes 1:18 models by Kyosho which are beginning to have problems. So for now, Minichamps is my favorite model brand.

I prefer Road Signature when it comes to make and ofcourse Maisto has the advantage of range and affordability.

Well i only have maistos and 1 hot wheels in my collection but from what i have seen of autoart and cmc on their websites, i think autoart takes the cake......their attention to detail is truly remarkable and CMC is another extremely detailed manufacturer.......one of their models when I converted its price to INR came to be about Rs. 14,000!!!!
My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston) ![]() picasaweb.google.com/karansharma8783 |

Gift Centre in Bombay had a few CMCs. I think he still has some. The detail on them is unlike anything found in mass produced models like Autoart or Minichamps. They get better with every model too. Their models are more like family heirlooms than model cars. My favorite CMC is the Bugatti T35. Thats a sight to behold.

I dont have any experience with other mention brands, so i will have to say Maisto is my favourite brand, and the other reason to choose maisto is the easy availbility and affrodability.[/u]
