Thanks to my cousin Kevin and a mighty thanks to his very patient parents who lugged this behemoth of a diecast from Australia to India via the US. This monster weighing all of 4000 gms easily outweighs every model in my collection.
The Caterpillar 797B is the flagship model of Caterpillar's off highway trucks. The truck carry carry 400 tonnes of soil and reach a top speed of 68kmph, thanks to its V20 diesel engine that produces around 3795HP. For more interesting info on the Car 797 series of trucks, please follow this link. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caterpillar_797 You will be amazed.
I first happened to watch the making of this truck on Discovery and ever since been looking for this model. Thanks to Kevin, I finally realized my dream and got this Holy Grail.

Sonofabitch, that's ducking huge man!! Congrats Winston on getting this big daddy!! It dwarfs a standard 1:18 scale car and that too when this thing is itself only in 1:50!! Amazing!!

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)
