Camera for diecast shooting - Need advice
I am planning to get a new camera just for shooting pics of my cars. My budget is somwhere in the range of 7000 to 9000 INR. Please guys suggest me some good make. Mainly my requirements are I should be able to shoot clear pics of even the minor details of a model like closeup of interiors, closeups of emblems and logos on the models. Also the camera should be able to capture crisp pics even in the tubelight inside the house. Most importantly, the camera should have one feature that I don't know the term for so I will describe it here - With my current camera, the models do not appear parallel in the photos, meaning their near portions to the camera are more rounded and bloated up so that the two lines of the car are converging towards the ends as the portion of the car is further away from the camera. This was not the problem in my handycam which gave more "parallel" shots so the car was pretty well-angled in the photos. I don't really know how to adjust this feature or whether even there's option to do so. I have attached below 2 pics which show this problem.

The 1st pic of the green Lambo is from the handycam. In the pic, the front and right surfaces of the car are at right angles to each other - what we would call a parallel view of the car.

The 2nd pic of the orange Lambo is from the smaller digicam. Here, the 2 surfaces are not at right angles but lesser than that. Hence, it's more of an isometric view.

Hope I'm able to clearly communicate my problem. I would prefer a camera which would shoot more of a parallel view like that of the green Lambo. Or maybe a camera which would atleast let me adjust these settings.

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)
