Mondo Motors Maserati GT
Yesterday I received my very first international purchase, as the title suggest its a Maserati GT from Mondo motors. I wanted to procure one for quite a long time now and was hunting for one on ebay. Finally finalized upon one which was available in Hongkong and for the same reason shipping was on lower side.
I opted for the silver color, though this not really a color for an Italian car like this but my personal favorite blue was not available. Unlike the real car you have only one option of red for the interior but I am not really complaining as this compliment the exterior rather nicely. The first thing which I noticed about the car is the size, its big; it seems bigger than a 1:18 should be. To clarify my doubt i did a quick comparison with my Maisto M5 and Maser just dwarfs it. Though; I have to check the dimensions of the original ones to reach any conclusion. As a whole the model looks very attractive but overall quality leaves a lot be desired. Like the model is very flimsy, it feels very light for a diecast. You can’t easily open the operable parts. I would buy this model again if any of the better brands like Autoart, Kyosho etc ever make one, but for the time being I have got one of my holy grails. Mondo Doesnt sell in India. I used to be in touch with the head of sales for mondo a few months ago begging them to set up in India. They wanted to, sadly things did not go as planned.

It doesn't come as a surprise. Diecast sales in India are rather poor, and no one would like to get into muddy waters.
