^^ Ohk....congrats on getting the CLS but I really feel Maisto has done a pathetic job with the CLS. When I compare the external finishing of the Maisto version with the Kyosho one, the Maisto one just seems a lame half-hearted attempt to capture the elegance of the CLS. You should go for the Alfa Bandhav, I assure you I felt the same way about this car for a long long time. Until I checked out some real hot pics of the car on flickr. That changed everything. Also check out the pics of the 1:1 on google. You'll be dazzled for sure.

Bravo, bravo Karan. You have become an expert now and such reviews really help learn more about scale models. Thank you so much.

There is one thing I would like to add, the RVM color difference was seen only in the recent stock in some defective pieces. Even we returned on such piece to the distributor last month. Had you seen the earlier stock which came to the end of last year this CAR was almost flawless in paint job and overall finish.

Welly has some very unique models however in current times the paint finish (maybe of stuff coming to India) is not what is expected of Welly and has deteriorated from what it was in past.

^^ Thanks a lot KV, those are encouraging words Smile Thanks for the update on the RVM colour mismatch, that's what I was wondering that when Vaas and others on this forum had got this car, theirs did not have this big big foulup but mine does. I was wondering that it might be more of an piece-specific defect.

Good review mate. The Italians have shown their flare for design yet again with the 8C. Great colour and presence, but the OVRMs are plain pathetic like you said. I wouldn't get rid of them though.

I agree Smile

Thanks Pratham and Karan!!

@ Pratham - nothing like that mate, just enjoy doing it that's all!!

@ Karan - Agree fully with you brother, the Italians sure have something running in their genes, must be like a whole damn country tradition sort of thing.....they must be teaching automotive design right from class 1 I guess Tongue

Karan, thats a gorgeous model to own. Now you also need the Burago 1932 8C 2300 Spider to compliment this model. You can find it here and trust me, it is just as gorgeous in its own special way.

The mirrors are an isolated case and unfortunately you have been at the recieving end. Like Karan aka GF says, please do not take off the mirrors. You will end up ruining the lines of the car. Your girlfriend or sis could perhaps help you to find a matching nail polish shade to touch up the mirrors. Nail polish works well for such small jobs and then your girlfriend/sis can use the rest. Big Grin

Regarding the Italians, they breathe the same air and drink the same water that Da Vinci, Michelangelo and a hundred other great artisans have breathed and drunk before them. All that oxygen and water in the country has traces of DNA of those greats.

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.
