RE: How to paint the diecast
Thanks Ravi for sharing this with us, I think not many people on this forum have ever tried their hands on this and this will definitely help us out. Would like to ask you one thing is that paint can available commonly in stores here?
@ Mods - Could you please move this thread to the "Model care and tips" section? Thanks. "Living up to the nick of posting freak" |

RE: How to paint the diecast
@Diecast- Thanks for sharing your project. This act fully completes the hobby of diecast model collection. Great job man.
Well, if such paints are available easily then I feel we should all try something like this. Once a while every one of us buys (impulsively) some model in a color that one doesnt like so much, but only because the required color is not available and we are afraid of losing that model completely. Painting, repairing and modifying these models gives complete meaning to the hobby of Diecast Scale Model Collection. Hope metallic colors are available in spray cans. |

Wanna add to kvsk4 that we can try on cheap or low cost model first to gain some experience and confidence than try on your rest . 1 MR,43 Autoart,35 kyosho,16 Minichamps,15 Norev,3 UT,1 ERTL.....

nice job done with spray can but what about Decals and logos???
for using brush to paint, i have tried many times with brush and recently seeing Bugatti EB11o in blue in our forum I scraped my welly EB110 of small scale and tried using acrylic paint but then also very faint brush strokes are visible so I scraped the car again and now I am trying some thing new, if it works I'll post it.simplest way is Buy an Airbrush at @1200.00 get an old refrigerator compressor for @1500.00 to drive it, and you can paint like professional. If anybody has idea about recreating decals please let us also know. |

Amar i better say use some kind of tape or something that u can hide them and peel the tape to save them. But sometimes problem comes with transparents stickers ..i better suggest we can replace them with some similar looking decals or try to replica from the people who make numberplate 1 MR,43 Autoart,35 kyosho,16 Minichamps,15 Norev,3 UT,1 ERTL.....

I have thought of going to sticker makers wo make stickers with the help of any picture on computer, I think they can reduce it to very small size almost similler to our decals. If it works I will updat here. thanks. |
