^^ You guys like the Spyker...somehow it hasn't grown on me, the interiors are sure awesome in one but can't say the same for the exteriors.

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

But there is one vintage car that I would like to have. The 1939 Delahaye 165 Roadster. The most beautiful car I have ever seen.

Based on the same platform there is the 135 Torpedo Radster

And this one also, the Delahaye Bella Figura Bugnotti Type 57S Roadster.

I would suggest Minichamps or Kyosho to make these beauty in 1:18 scale.
The curves on these cars are truly to die for....

The second car from your wish list is made by Guiloy. Look HERE. Is a rare model, two months ago it was 100 euro without shipping in a german on-line shop. Cheers!

I agree fully with you. I love Delahaye for their designs. Signature models had one in 1:18. Modeller aka Sri (from chennai) has one.

Are you kidding us 100 euro for that crap build quality. In singapore I saw the same selling for 36 euro, they had around 6 pieces the metallic red and the other color being creamish yellow.

The boot had an issue in all the cars, with paint peeling off due to interference fit between boot door and body. The chrome was awful. Engine bay detailing was good, but finish was not there.

I think the company is not closed.

RE: Models to be made???
I have some Guiloy models and I can't call them crap. I never saw before this model live and I can't say my opinion. In ten years I never saw this model in shops, I don't know if is a fair price or not, I repeat I never had the model in my hands, so is the seller decision to fix this price. Guiloy stoped the production for model cars, they produce only few models of motorbikes.

Thanks for the info. I saw the model and it was big disappointment. So was telling the information. This was my first contact with a Guiloy model. I would say a comparable Maisto would be a better buy.

Its not the same model.. I mean the chassis & engine are the same but the coach is completely different.. One proof is that the Torpedo has normal doors where as the model shown has suicide doors...
