World's first true supercar
Ok guys, I think this is a big debate and there are many contestants for this incredible title - which one do you think is the world's first true supercar??
My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

unfortunately the SLS is RUBBISH!!! & so is the AMG advertisement that is on air.

Oh come on Amit, I loved the new SLS AMG ad, really cool ad.....the front end of the car has an uncanny resemblance to the Gullwing's.

Alan, neither the Corvette nor the Shelby have ever been classified as supercars. The Corvette has always been referred to as a sportscar or a roadster and the Shelby AFAIK is a muscle car.

Infact, I probably shouldn't even have put the Jag E-Type in the options above coz it's a roadster.

You are right guys, Merc 300 SL is the first car in the world not to have a carburetor but fuel injection system as in today cars. Though difficult to handle on turns and instant braking but still favorite of all.
