My New Mercedes 1:18 500k Typ SpecialRoadster

Hi All,

As i had updated in the What i picked today section of SMC. I am sharing the pictures of my priceless Maisto's 1:18 white 1936 Mercedes 500k Typ SpecialRoadster.

This car looks bigger than my other 1:18's (2003 Mclaren Mercedes SLR, and the 2006 Dodge Challenger Concept). And also it is pretty heavier. The paint job is cool, along with the detailing. Only thing i noticed plasticcy is the bumpers and other parts like the horn, the Merc logo.

The engine detail is amazing, better than my other Maisto's.

Awesome pics there Channa.....the car looks priceless indeed!!! The paintwork is just amazing in this one. This must be the costliest Maisto of all at 2000 bucks. The interiors are also nicely done in this one, lovely looking dials. Good chromework all round too. Maisto has made this in three colours white, blue and red. The white one is the original Maharaja of Indore version. The blue and red are generic road-going versions. Have yet to buy this one, don't know why I keep postponing it, I guess I'm still confused which colour to get it in.

Awesome pics of a really nice model. The model has terrific presence and makes some expensive models of modern cars look cheap. Definitely a must have if you are a fan of classic cars or Mercedes Benz. The backdrop looks superb.
BTW. you would just like to straigthen that Mercedes star.
Karan, if I had space, I would have gotten all three colors. Each one is just as much beautiful as the other. I so wish they made this car in black too.

@amarkatira: I did search for a black backdrop. I did not get any, so used the Maisto catalogue which i had. Will try to get a new dark background and post the pictures here.

@karansharma8783: I could not see the price tag, as it had been scratched by my friends who gifted me this one. As you say this is one of the best models Maisto has made.

@Diablo: I will try straightening the Merc logo in my next photoshoot of this classic. This model makes more presence from my other 2 1:18's. But i have story and reason for each of my 1:18's, so cant differentiate them.
