Especially considering that no model maker is accurate- heck, even your latest 5.5k Autoart Diablo 6.0 comes riddled with QC problems and has ugly paint mismatch problems. The Kyosho's that you talk about have some of the worst paint quality and start deteriorating with terrible paint rashes and diecast cancer after a few years. Good luck holding on to yours!

I love my budgets, maybe even over the BBR Enzo or the Exoto GT40 or the Kyosho F40 Hi-End I have- simple cus, they get most things right at 1/3rd the prices.
They don't pretend to be a high end model- they are honest.

You started with budgets brands. Thats what got all of us started. Never forget your roots man. Never forget where you coming from. Come back down, the crash from seventh heaven will be painful.

Cheers!Drinks
One more thing- I hope you will agree, that most people here take out precious time to make photos of their models. While its good to have an opinion, its not ok to tell that their model is not so great or why you think they should have got something else. Time is theirs and so is the money.
Though yes, if they ask for an opinion on the quality of the model or their choice- it is totally fine to speak your mind. There's but a thin line in appearing constructive or being an asshole.

When a member posts here, its usually to showcase what they have, n not hear what else could have been bought with that money or how crappy their model is.

Your left tit doesn't resemble my left tit. Similarly our collections also differ. But I bet your tit is as good as my tit.
Peace.

Guggga, that hurt bro, honest. I'm not a snob, diecast or otherwise. I myself started not even from budget models but from 1:24 scale Maistos. It was Ari who prodded me to save and invest more in 1:18 scale models. What I wanted to say to Winston is that before my job, I had been ranting on the forum how badly I wanted to savour the intricate details offered by premium brands when I used to see pics posted by others of models from Autoart or Kyosho. Now finally, I am getting the chance to do the same. That's all there is to it. I think maybe you read too much into it.

Also, for the opinion thing, I thought about it and yes, I agree maybe I did cross a line there. But in my humble opinion, that is the whole point of a forum. Whenever did we start a separate thread for discussing the pros and cons of a particular manufacturer? I always shared my opinions on the very thread that another member started and I would want others to do the same. Agreed though maybe I could have worded my opinion in a manner less offensive. I would also request you to read my whole post before jumping the gun, so to speak.

^^ I agree!! Doc, I wasn't aware that Renault had come up with something totally insane and when you mentioned you had picked up the same, I googled and was floored by the images. This model is good but it doesn't capture the true lunacy of this insane car. This car looks like it has been modded by a designer on steriods Tongue

BTW Doc, which brand is this, Burago?? [i]Overall appearance is quite good for a 1:24 and I notice it's got rolled-up windows which is quite a luxury for a 1:24 model.

Point taken Winston. BTW, I would really appreciate it if you can refrain from referring to my employer every time you have a viewpoint opposite to mine. There are more polite ways of doing the same Xyxthumbs Cheers Smile

RE: My Small Collection
I'm with Karan on this. The point of the forum is to share honest opinions and viewpoints. So long as you hurt nobody's sentiments which I don't believe Karan did.As punishment for your over-reaction,Gugggster,we demand photos of that 1:18 Ford GT40 by Exoto as soon as possible.Big Grin Of course,I wouldn't mind the actual model itself either.Big Grin Big Grin
Also,I just discovered that the car I posted a photo of in my last post has a 3.5 Litre V6 that goes behind the front seats. That's right. It's a mid-engined V6 Tata Indica!!!!

LOL! Here are some pics that I clicked of her long time back when I did the Enzo, Italia and 288 GTO shoot:

I promise a better shoot soon - I hope these pictures will do till then Smile

BTW. that Indica is crazy! And TATA should've made it and started a Super Cup series- a great marketing opportunity lost.
Sorry to hijack your thread, Doc saab!

There it is!!And it's better than I could have imagined.Look at all those beautifully intricate rivets. The details are gobsmacking!!This is one very very fine purchase,Guggga!!!!I find this the most desirable offering in Exoto's catalogue.Have you seen that 1966 LeMans 1-2-3 Victory Aficionado Set they made??That trio of 1:18 Ford GT40 MkII models would be my ultimate holy grail.Smile
