Audi Quattro, 1981 Rally Janner (Austria) winner

Sunstar has created a perfectly fine example of a legendary rally car with this model. While I was hoping to add a Autoart Quattro rally car some day but I no longer feel the need since this one fills in the gap completely and saves me around USD 40 USD in the bargain. While it may miss some of the finer detailing, there is no complain at all with this one.
Blemishless paint finish, tampo printing, tight panel gaps, separate brake discs and calipers, nice underbody detailing, nice engine and interiors. The wheels might look small, but its true for that era of rally cars and is as the same diameter as my civilian clothed Autoart Quattro. The wheels could have been made better...they look plasticky but I guess some blackwash will help solve this problem.
I did a little research on this particular car and it turns out to be that this one was a winner outright in its first outing in the Austrian rally of 1981. Following are a few links that give little titbits about the car and the driver.

Overall I am very pleased with this model and ever since I found that its a winner, I am on cloud 9 for having finally brought the model home after seeing it on Gift Centre shelves for the past 5 months or more.

Oh yes. I had a video of this car being driven in anger during the rally. Its fun too see a big car driven in narrow gullies at top speed and that too sideways.
