RE: What i picked today.
So, I was out shopping wid ma at this place called Patparganj. Normal kinda run down place...

And then i walked into this quaint little toy shop... it was run over with stuff. So i asked him about scale models and he showed me a couple of 1:24 kits. Usual.

And then I was walking out.. and saw them all... the EVO 7, the GT 40, the Viper GTS! 1:36 Kinsmart.

Ok, so I'm not a fan of smaller scales, but the Kinsmart are actually surprisingly good. I picked up 4 of them- the above and a Mini Cooper in Yellow.

I wish he also had the Subaru rally car. But I'll make do with the EVO for now.

Oh, he also had GIJoes! I picked up General Hawk and Cobra Commander. Big Grin

karansharma8783 Wrote:Winston, they also had the Maisto BMW M5 in bluish silver. And this is after a really long time that I have been zapped by a sedan. The last time this happened was when I had bought the Jag S-Type. I had once come across the M5 in maroon but this bluish silver finishing just looked plain awesome. Maisto have indeed done a commendable job on the M5. I took some time deciding whether to bring home the Porsche or the M5. They also had the pink Eldorado but someone had already paid for it in reserve. But did get the chance to see it up close. I knew it is a long car but up close, it really defies expectations. Just looooooong, the model must be more than a foot long. Looked super cool!!! And they also had the Merc CLS class in blue. I think the CLS looks best in plain old black. The new Merc E class by Maisto is available on ebay shop ice'nslice if you are interested.

Edit - Oh yeah they also had the 1:18 assembly kit Ferrari F50 in red from Maisto. The only reason I left it coz it was the cabriolet version, not the coupe. Had it been the coupe, I think I would have chosen it over the Porsche.

Hey, remembered some other Welly models that Toy Corner had was the 1975 Peugeot 504. I'm not a fan of such ordinary looking small sedans but it's a good model to have in your collection. The overall finishing and chromework was top-notch. They also had the Peugeot 207cc. Now the special thing about this model is that it has a retractable metal hard-top. He showed me how the roof folds away and goes back snugly into the boot. But it's not enough of a clincher to make me buy it coz again here it's nowhere even near my wishlist. Plan to buy such diecasts when I have lots of useless cash lying around.

If you don't need it then you really don't need it. The model should attract you immediately or atleast give you sleepless nights for leaving it behind on the shelf. If this does not happen, you better put that cash on some other model that you really need.

They had a box full of those GTs. Red, Yellow and Black. The Yellow with black stripes and the Black with Silver stripes looked the best.

The detailing is quite something on the outside, with the profile, alloys, brake lights and head lights all done rather well.

Lemme know what color u like and I'll pick one up on my next trip there. Infact thats one of the reason's I was callin ya that day to ask if you wanted the GT or the Mitsubishi Evo Tommi car. Smile

Guggga...click on the green + on every post you want to quote and then finally click the Reply button of any post. You should now have every post you want to reply to being pasted in the reply window. Hope this helps.
