RE: Few Models
One of my favorite models, Exoto details in Autoart guess one of their best racing models, I had waited for a real long while for this model to be available in 1/18 only drawback is the large wires to hold panels they look out sized to me, the color scheme is amazing did painting of this car also

RE: Few Models
Hey Saleel, want to know how good are the Eagles Race models? I tried to search a lot on them on the net but didn't get really satisfactory results. I am considering purchasing their Porsche 917K 24h Le Mans model but need some convincing as this is a new category I'll be venturing into - full-on racing cars with liveries so am a bit confused right now. Do these have complete opening doors, hoods and engine compartments? Thanks.

RE: Few Models
Karan, if the Eagles Race model is the same one which is being sold in an auction, forget it. It is way too expensive for the quality of the model. The Autoart model is for 1975 rs and if you can find one, get it. It is better than the ER.

RE: Few Models
Yeah Winston, it's by some seller on ebay India and he's charging 2500 bucks. I visited Universal Hobbies website (which I suspect are the owners of the Eagles Race series, though not sure) and its price there amounted to about 1900 bucks. Anyway, I'll ask the guy for some discount and if he does offer some, I'll see if my ebay 10% discount voucher could be put to some good use to further increase the discount.

Actually, I've yet to buy a model for this month and I was all of a sudden just fed up with the regular stuff like the muscles and the exotics. This Porsche all of a sudden just grabbed my attention as something radically different and its livery just looks spectacular. In fact, if I do get this one, this will be the first proper race car in my collection and a totally new category as I mentioned earlier. BTW, do you know if it has openable everything? Also do you know the link to the ER website?

Edit - Autoart selling off a model like the 917K for 1975 bucks, have they been hit by a sudden attack of conscience?

RE: Few Models
Lol@Autoart's conscience attack. Autoart lost that many many moons ago Karan. They just overproduced these cars and are dumping them now. Not at all bad for the price compared to the ER which has no opening parts (confirmed this with someone who has a whole bunch of them). Please don't waste money on that model.

RE: Few Models
NO OPENING PARTS, woh man, that was the decision maker. No way I'm parting with 2400 bucks for a model that looks good just on the outside!! Thanks for the info.
