Hello,

A very Happy New Year -2010 to you all. Though I had registered on this site long time ago, had completely forgotten about the same. Happen to chance upon this site again and good to see a dedicated Indian scale model collectors forum. Unlike other countries, its a pity that we don't have much choices or dedicated hobby stores here. However, hope the situation improves soon. Any pointers to shop for Model cars in Bangalore always welcome.

My collections are mostly 1:24 and 1:18 scale. However, the semi-trucks/rigs/haulers are all 1:32 scale and the trains HO Scale. Will start post my collections in the collections thread shortly.

Buddy you are right, we do not have dedicated hobby stores here in India but times are changing now and hopefully 2010 will bring along lot of good & new things to us people. My personal but small contribution to this segment is the online store http://www.DreamCarModels.com where you can by scale models in diecast as well as r/c categories. It’s a new startup (less than 3 months) and we still have to upload all our stock but I’m sure you will find it useful. Have a look around.

Also, not to forget Aritrim and other members who contribute to this dedicated forum. Such forums will be instrumental in changing the scene of scale model hobby in India. So do participate more often and aks your collector/enthusiast friends to join in.

Hey Siddvi, welcome to SMC man, great to have another enthusiastic diecast nut on board....always love to hear from new people on the forum......looks like you have some collection going on with rigs and trains, sounds yummy. How long have you been collecting diecast and cars in particular?

Ari, I’m surprised no one has listened or reacted to the news that I broke today. I have even posted the shortlisted names, rates, etc of Minichamp vehicles available in India now. You are the only one to notice but even you haven’t read that post??? Oh how excited I was and this is what I did first thing in the morning--- shortlisted MC vehicles upto Rs.5000/- range and posted the list in sponsored forums and no one reacted?? I also arranged several photos of few vehicles but didnt post because no one seemed interested.
