RE: My Mini Garage
Diablo Wrote:Awesome collection already Vasanth. 5 years hence, with our bad influence on you, you will need few more cabinets like that. Are you a Ferrari fan? Imagine that if we had a steady supply of Ferrari models, guaranteed that your collection would have been twice of what it is now. Once you start, you just cannot stop.

Winston said it right. Ferrari makes tons of beautiful cars and if you are a Ferrari fan, your collection should have a separate cabinet display just for the Ferraris.

I know this is not inline here but here's my startoff Ferrari wishlist :

1. F40
2. F50
3. 599 GTB Fiorano
4. Testarossa
5. 550 Maranello
6. 360 Modena
7. 456M GT
8. 355 F1 Spider
9. Enzo
10. 250 GTO
11. 288 GTO
12. 612 Scaglietti

But sad as the state of things are now, no Ferrari diecasts are available here. Just hope they somehow manage to bring in Hot Wheels again.

RE: My Mini Garage
As mentioned earlier, have added the following last weekend:

2005 Corvette C6 Coupe (Blue)
1:18 maisto

Following 1:18 Harleys:
FatBoy, Electra Glide Police, Ultra Classic Electra Glide and Night Rod special

No choice about harleys, they don't get them in 1:12s Sad So have to settle for 1:18s.

RE: My Mini Garage
Hey, the Pontiac is in blue, the one I came across was in white with blue stripes. I want the Mustang Boss 302, have it currently in yellow with black stripes in 1:24 scale by Maisto.

This is the only colour of pontiac they had Sad I've seen the white with blue stirpes on net, that looks deadly, but had to do with this for now.
The Other mustang boss was of same blue colour as pontiac, compared to that, the orange/black combo looks dashing. Am sure you will get this in other colours as well soon in many stores in future.

Met up with scalemodel Guru, the next big thing waiting to be unleashed on SMC Big Grin praveen sathaye saab, who had graced bangalore from pune today Big Grin Needless to say, we hit sapphire toys and went beserk Big Grin
I sold my soul to the devil (creditcard) and bought few more things (am gonna be soo soo dead for this spending orgy for months to come Sad) Will update with pics soon. Praveen saab too picked up truck loads, he will be posting soon Smile

Thanks Gt, Yeah, muscle cars exude raw strength, in your face kind of dominance with their sheer massive size and monstorous engines, which only SUVS can do these days. Plus the Muscle cars of the 60s and 70s take me back in time machine, makes me nostalgic, in these days of Fuel economy driven misery with loads of hatchbacks and other over the top luxury cars/suvs, muscle cars always stand out, they are like original beer guzzling bad boys who ruled the roads Big Grin I would say to me they are like Machoman RandySavage/HulkHogan/Ultimate Warrior compared to John Cenas and CMPunks of today Big Grin
They are true legends, always remembered, never forgotten

RE: My Mini Garage
As mentioned earlier, scalemodel guru, praveen sathaye saab was in town this weekend and what started off as showing him around diecast hubs turned out to be a mutual diecast shopping spree!
I had bought the 4 welly muscle cars and the two Kinsmarts on Friday, then i met up praveen saab on sunday and we hit Sapphire toys. We both ended up picking lot of things. I picked up the following:

1:18 Welly 1970 Chevelle SS 454 in Metallic Yellow

Following 1:30 something Kinsmarts:
2009 Nissan GTR R35 - Dark Grey
Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution VII - Rally Art version in Red/White
Subaru Impreza WRC 2007 - 7 Solberg

I had overlooked the yellow Chevelle during my last visit, i found it this time around and praveen too suggested to pick it and so it came home. The Subaru too was his suggestion. The GTR was my pick and so was the lancer, the only lancer i had so far was a chotu tomica!

Again on Monday, met up praveen saab and casually went to reliance time out in cunningham road, the shopping spree continued and bought home Optimus prime and bumblebee quick conversion chotu kits. Not exactly scalemodels, but they are admirable vehicles and these guys were needed to guard my garage Big Grin

Then we headed off to pantaloons in sigma mall cunningham road and I picked these up @ 15% off Big Grin
All 1:24 Maisto Assembly kits:
Ferrari 550 Maranello - Ferrari Red
Corvette Z06 - Yellow (finally a yellow corvette!)
Dodge Viper GTZ - White with Blue stripes

Will post pics soon.
