Hey KV, i would love to buy some of the 1:64s. I've started collecting smaller scales just recently.
HW 1:64s are really good in detailing . I've a F50 but i intend to buy more once i start taking tuitions again for the sake of some money

Not all of the non-elites are bad. The new ones, like the Italia, 599 etc are brilliant for the money.

Some of the older ones like the F40, F50, 288 GTO etc etc etc are the same mould as the elites with very little done to spruce them up- so basically some of the older non-elites are a good bargain.

The 612 models that sometimes come up are a part of a massive Hotwheels consignment that came a few years ago. BTW, mattel has a head office in Bombay for India operations.

I know some people who went and spoke to people. They said they have no intentions!! All they are here to sell is smaller scales I hope they reconsider!

+1 Saleel Sir. When a 1:18 model of every xyz car is bought in India, think about Ferraris! Ferraris are undoubtedly a fantasy here, and even someone who doesnt even care about cars much would want to have at least one 1:18 ferrari sitting on his table.
And Channa, I dont think the model you say was from HW, cuz AFAIK modelart never retailed them.
