BMW L2002tii
![]() This has to be one of those cars that was never in the radar but has been a pleasant surprise on finding one. I have been a fan of the BMW 2002 turbo ever since I saw Jeremy Clarkson review one of Top Gear. To have the more polished version of the same car is nice too. Quite a Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde moment when you see the two of them together. The L2002tii is brilliant example of Autoart's workmanship. Terrific chrome, beautiful paint, lights that look nothing less than gemstones, attention to detail, everything you would want in a model is present on this example. It is also heavier than my last Autoart which was a Mercedes Benz CL550 which is a substantially bigger car than the BMW. Anyways, here are the pics. Enjoy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

RE: BMW L2002tii
While you would want to take your wife/girlfriend to the movies in the tii, you would want to have nothing but the turbo for the boy's night out. The tii with the beefy, brawny 2002 turbo. Oh God! give me a turbo some day.
![]() ![]() The turbo charged engine of the turbo (what else...lol) Notice the extra piping on the LHS. ![]() The ends.

RE: BMW L2002tii
Brilliant man. I wish I could take one of these out for a drive- the Lady in Red or the White Tiger.
Lovely........ BTW, would you like to share the prices, please. And what would they might cost at the moment. |

RE: BMW L2002tii
Whoa.. really nice couple.
The L2002 from Autoart? What is the 'L' stand for? Must be 'Luxury' judging from the wooden dash trim & alloys... Classic BMWs are really gorgeous. I'm still kicking my rear-end for hesitating to buy a white 3.0CS which was in Gift Centre months ago.. |

RE: BMW L2002tii
Thanks for the kind words guys.
Kv, the original MRP of the BMW(s) was Rs. 3500. I got them each for Rs. 2100. While the turbo is out of production by BMW, the L2002tii is still available on ebay and some online store for 40-50 USD. The turbos I seen on Ebay were around the $70 mark. Kyosho makes the 2002 turbo too and it is as good as the Autoart if not better. The 2002 L tii was the top of the line 2002. The turbo was BMW's first production turbo car. The engine made around 170 bhp while the normal 2002tii engine made 'only' 130 bhp. Ayie and Ari, I will keep an eye out for the older BMWs and let you know. If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit. ![]() |

RE: BMW L2002tii
Thanks Amit but the pictures really do not do any justice to how really well made the model actually is.

RE: BMW L2002tii
It was the closing down sale in Modelart Bombay. I got all the models I didn't even dream I would have, thanks to their generous offer.
