Dear Patrons, friends and well-wishers,

We begin a new series this month – Inventions and Innovations (and spam of course). Back in the 19th century transportation was in its infancy and travel was largely limited as rapid transportation was almost non-existant. Then came along great inventors who laid the very foundation for various modes of transport that provided a platform for further innovation and improvement over generations.

Neil, if you are reading this post, I would like to say something. You must be having the largest diecast collection in India and with that collection, you must also be having sound knowledge on this hobby but it's no use posting your once-in-a-month threads unless you also contribute regularly and in a meaningful way on this forum. Your knowledge would be most valuable and most appreciated on this forum.

Unfortunately, you take this forum as just a means to advertise your newsletters and your new acquirements. I am sure you would agree with me that this hobby is much much more than just collecting more and more diecasts. You, most of all, would surely testify to that. I really appreciate your gigantic and ever-growing collection but now, I'm beginning to feel otherwise.

If you feel like making a mark here, please go ahead by all means, but please don't take this forum just to post your monthly newsletters. We would look at your newsletters and be awed but then that would be it. I hope you take this in the right spirit.

Welcome aboard Praveen. Heard a lot about you from Vasanth and glad you could join us here. We are some crazy people here too but we respond when contacted....after all we are not so busy writing to Guiness and Limca to include our names in their silly books. Gaurav, thanks for the kind words. Right now I miss my mind but the Ferrari 355 is one car I need so bad. We do need HWs to relaunch their line here.
