Diecast reference sites
Many a times when I first got into this hobby, I never knew what to expect from the models available here. I knew what I wanted but never knew if it was good enough to get. It is mostly heart over head when it comes to this hobby but a good review of the car you want to get is always a bonus to help you make that final decision to spend your hard earned money. I was lucky to find two websites that I still go to every other day and ogle at their collection and read about their views about the models they have.
They are http://www.1-18scalecars.com . Many of you must have already visited this site by Dr. Ronan Donahue. Fantastic collection which he has now sold in favor of a new hobby, slot cars.
And another of my favorites: http://mini.werner.med.br/first.htm by Dr. Luciano Werner. Fantastic pictures and real fun to read reviews with his wicked humor. Also a great guy and if you find the time, do write to him.
Do not forget to mention here your favorite model site.

One more which is a great reference source to find out if the model that you have always wanted was ever made, is in production, will be produced, in what colors and what prices. Look no further than http://www.scale18.com This site is second to none in the vastness and richness of their database. 3 cheers to Kevin Pickell for the motherlode of diecast pictures.

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

RE: Diecast reference sites
http://www.diecast.org is a great site and I was regular on their forum back in 2003. Lots of terrific people who share wonderful ideas, dioramas and models. Their database with model reviews is a solid plus point too.

www.briansmodelcars.comis a great resource if you are into modifying model cars and its my all time favorite for great tips and hints. I have always had it on my favorites list and always check back to see if there are any new additions to the list.

RE: Diecast reference sites
Guys, I just made a fool of me, Yesterday night I ordered two diecasts from http://www.diecastmodelswholesale.com, and later came to know through a mail from them that they don't ship to India, and in case I want these models to be shipped to India, I have to pay 70$, which is for record is greater than the original cost of two models put togather.

I have asked for refund, I hope I will get my money back.

Now I request you guys to suggest some site from where I can purchase few models with reasonable shipping charges.

RE: Diecast reference sites
Ari said he normally purchases from http://www.modellisimo.de, why don't you check it out?? And hope you get your money back (I think if they are customer-oriented, they would return it without any hassles).
