Fantastic looking collection Ayie. Love the display case. You got so many cars that I need. The green Cobra looks gorgeous and so does the orange Miura. You have been lucky to get it when the price was reasonable. I still like to believe I have not touched the 1 lakh mark. Cause when I think like that, I have to take an aspirin.
Ayie, cool gift from your wife but I think it has a hidden message, 'Take a brake for your collection.; Wink

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.

RE: My Other Ladies (update 26th Aug)
Karan - the Signature Cobra cost me Rs1095 - real bargain if you ask me. Other colour is chilli red. The Cobra was not even in my wish list, but when I saw it in flesh, I have to buy it!

Amit - thanks, but please don't!

Winston - Once you passed that magical mark, there is no more hope left.. just 'play' along..

And thanks for decoding my wife's hidden message. Judging from the 6-pot caliper & grooved & cross-drilled disc, she really want me to take a brake - pronto! But I did promised her I will stop once I got my 2000GT.

Ayie, 1100 is a steal for such a precious model and that too by Signature. You don't even get a Bburago for that much. Hows the detailing since the lower price is making me a bit suspicious. Could you post some detailed pics?

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

With that kind of price, I too didn't expect much of the car. But surprisingly, the details & quality is amazing. For example, the roll bar behind seat - it is not just glued on the body, it is installed through the bodywork all the way inside the luggage compartment!

Will try to take the pics this weekend.

Hhahaaaa.. Arab shiekh's garange will normally include British mammoths like RR, Bently & Aston, which I don't right now!

RE: My Other Ladies..
This is the set-up on how I took the recent pics. As you can see, it is quite dark.

RE: My Other Ladies..
Ayie, you got a perfect place to photograph diecasts. You should try using card paper as base and backdrop for the cars. The paper costs not more than 5 Rs. and one side matte and the other is semi glossy. It is available in light yellow, blue, green, pink and white. Should not absorb light as much as the dark wood does.

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.
