KV, that car looks liquid....like the mercury man from Terminator 2. I think you just helped me add another car to the wish list. Thank you very much.Big Grin

......now tell me, wont you be willing to bring her home???

Damn! is that a burago model? If it is then it's hard to believe!
If at all the burago that i saw in model art has this level of finish then this weekend she's coming home Big Grin

Good decision Vasanth. In fact, I have come across the Alfa in exactly this colour (red) here in Indore. And believe me, this car was nowhere in my wishlist. But seeing it before me, I also changed my mind. This is one of the rare really good makes by Burago, infact it even costs more than the others - 1850 bucks!!!

Kv, I tried opening the site http://www.dreamcarmodels.com but got the following message :

Officially Licensed Scale Models:
Vintage Cars, Sports Cars, Muscle Cars, Exotic Cars, Formula-1 Cars, Motor Bikes, Trucks & more…………… Diecast Metal & Remote Controlled cars and other vehicles

India's first fully functional e-commerce website, especially for Collectors and Auto Enthusiasts, where you can buy Officially Licensed Scale Models and Assembly Kits of real cars, motor bikes, trucks and many other vehicles in Diecast Collectables and Remote Controlled models. Let us all promote this constructive and educational hobby.

!!! LAUNCHING SOON - less than a week to go !!!

What the hell is this site, I'm getting excited already. Is this an intitiave by Modelart or somebody new in the market?
How did you get to know about this?

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

Rs1850 for a burago? Man that's steep, if it's gonna cost so much then iam giving it a miss for sure Sad The site looks promising man! lets wait and see what models we can get Smile found another site by almost same name: http://www.dreamcarmodelshq.com/
Just imagine if this desi site too can offer range of models like the videshi site Big Grin

PS: found Burago Alfa Romeo 8c's price in an online desi site to be Rs 1395! Now am confused!

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Guys, dont get so excited because http://www.dreamcarmodels.com is a desi site and might not be able to offer what international sites offer at the moment. You people know what all is imported into India, sadly its only the Maistos, Bburagos and Autoarts (AAs are out of reach now and would look good only in Modelart showroom photos).

Vaas is right 'lets wait and see' what it has to offer. Well, let us all keep our fingers crossed.

PS- it is surely not related to Modelart in anyway.

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Vasant, the Alfa Romeo comes in 2 types of packaging. The one costing 1850 comes in a closed cardboard box. The 1350 one comes in the normal window box. So in effect, you are paying 500 Rs. extra just for fancier packing. The car remains the same.

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.

Hmm now you are making me suspicious Big Grin How do you know about this site and how are you claiming that model art has nothing to do with this site? Do you have anything to do with this site? Big Grin
