RE: Update on models available in your cities
Those are some fantastic additions to the collection Vasanth. Congratulations on finding them at bargain rates. Been to Lifestyle yesterday and all I could find were Bburago tuner cars which included a Ford Focus, Nissan GTR R34, Toyota Celica & Subaru Impreza (bug eyed) tuners with fancy body work and wild graphics. All in 1:24 and for around 410 each. There were also some Maisto 1:32 cars with pull back action in various forms of damage offered at a discount. Why don't these guys give a proper price earlier than letting their merchandise get junked and try to offload it at lesser rates is beyond my comprehension.

Thank you diablo I did see the same tuners of burago in bad shape in lifestyle here too. Sadly these chaps won't maintain these models and after years of shelf abuse they dispose them off during such discount season I feel sad for so many models which are handicapped due to the monkeys visiting the mall abusing them. It's raining discounts everywhere these days, i think this is the best time to check out all the malls in your respective cities, 90% of them are selling their "toys" at minimum of 10% discount. Update from bangalore, Today i checked out Bangalore central, they are currently having their up to 51% off sale. They are giving flat 20% discount on ALL maisto products! That includes 1:24 to 1:18 cars and 1:18-1:12-1:10 bikes! Most of the cars in 1:24 have disappeared, only one audi stands there now. In 1:18 they have two Merc roadster (all white), 1 Porsche cayman (missing logo on hood) one really old (logo bent) Merc saloon and a lambo LP640. They did have two more cars, but they are no longer there as i bought them I also picked up two 1:18 bikes, and one 1:12 bike assembly kit for my friend. They have tons of 1:18 bikes and honda and yamaha Race replicas in 1:10 scale. Pantaloons is also currently having their 50% off sale, they are still continuing to give flat 20% discount on maisto products, but now it's limited only to 1:18 bikes They have few ferrari assembly kits in 1:!24 scale, but the discount is limited to 10%. Earlier, 20% off was applicable to ALL maisto products, but now they have changed their policy They have some really good Race replica bikes in 1:18 scale for throwaway prices, i picked up 3 RR bikes Will post pics soon. The places that i couldn't cover from quite few weeks are landmark in forum mall and Shoppers stop near jayadeva flyover btm layout. Can anyone from bengalooru update on status of scale models in these places? Model art was hopeless last time (about a month back) Their collection was at all time low, they were expecting new arrivals by august end. |

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Congrats once again on the newer additions Vasanth. Glad to hear you are landing at the right places at the right time. Wishing you more success in your diecast hunt. Spoke the Modelart guys earlier in the evening today and they are expecting a lot this month. Their bikes and 1:24 containers have already reached our shores and the stock will be reaching their shops in the coming week. The 1:18 consignment is also coming in a couple of days. Expect some Autoart and Signature models too. So all those who were saving up, your wait is almost over. Attackkkkkkkkk!!!

Model art getting new bikes and cars! that's some news! But i think autoarts will be priced as per the "revised price" (read above 4k) so it will out of my budget. Am hoping for few decent maistos and buragos. I've already over shot my scalemodel budget for this month, so no more purchases from me atleast till next month

RE: Update on models available in your cities
No worries Vasanth. You have plenty of time and you are right about Autoart. The good old days of owning a new Autoart are over. They make great models but at the new prices, its highway robbery.

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Another update for bangalore, Just received a mailer from shoppers stop, they are starting their up to 51% off sale from august 15th till august end.
Am expecting atleast 10%-20% off on maisto products (like pantaloons) or even better up to 50% off on few maistos like lifestyle Lets see, hoping to check out their other outlet near jayadeva on independence day, their garuda mall outlet doesn't have much scalemodels. If i do find any, iam gonna be bankrupt!

RE: Update on models available in your cities
All the best on your hunt Vasanth. May the diecast finds make you bankrupt only after you get all those you need.

Diablo Wrote:All the best on your hunt Vasanth. May the diecast finds make you bankrupt only after you get all those you need. That was quick! The problem during such discount sales is you get tempted a lot, what you "need" gets stretched seeing the jaw dropping discounts That's how i ended up picking few things last week, which i wouldn't have picked up if they were selling those at Mrp.

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Thats the beauty of discounts. You have lots of time to repent later. Sometimes you feel bad for what you should have not got and sometimes you feel terrible because you left something behind which you could have bought. But anyways, keep a focus in the direction you want your collection to go and you will never go wrong.
