RE: Update on models available in your cities
The Lotus is a nice model and with prices for the newer models hovering around the 5K mark, 3400 seems OKish. Hut honestly speaking, the Lotus is overpriced for the amount of detail you are expecting to get. The engine is just as much as the Welly Miura. Except for the carpetting, there it is 2000 rs. too much.

RE: Update on models available in your cities
ok, thanks.
I'm also planning to go there but Saket traffic is too much a pain for me thats why i drop the plan everytime i decide to go there. Even the last time when i went there they had only some models of Autoart and not even a single brand other than maisto. not even bburago |

Thanks winston. i checked out the pics. its not as detailed as i expected.. there are better models to buy at that price. thanks again (07-06-2010 02:53 AM)prathambhatnagar Wrote: ok, thanks. yes i agree.. since i stay near to the that place, i go there very frequently.\ but i dont bother to enter modelart, as they have same stuff everytime. today it was good to find koenigsegg and lambo 560, now its gonna remain same for next six months.. i wonder what do they do to their old models when they bring in new. that 1/12 ford gt was there for almost a year, today the showroom looked so incomplete without that model.. even the staff looked sad and exhausted.. |

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Hey guys,
I came across a post on some forum, about an ongoing clearance sale of Die-Cast models (toys in general) in Mumbai. Here's the location: Star Bazaar, Link Road, Andheri (W), Mumbai. Time for Mumbaikars to go on a shopping spree, eh?!

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Hey guys, today i went to Modelart Delhi.
@Abacus : The ford GT was there and its price was a whopping 25000 bucks. They have got some new autoart stock. The Lancer WRC plain body version was looking very nice and they also had some more rally cars which i didn't bother to look at. I asked the guy about the new stock and he said that it will now come after a year or so. Thats a very long time i guess. What do you think guys about Modelart not updating their stock for a year and that 1/12 Ford GT for 25k ??? |

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Pratham, Autoart models are priced so high, it takes them a year to completely sell out. So I am really not surprised if they say it will take a year for new stock to arrive. Why buy a 1/12 model for 24K when you can get an average of TEN 1/18 models for that much money. Its not that the Ford GT is the greatest model in the world. I would pay 25K if the engine was made of metal with working parts i.e pistons doing their things in cylinders, brake pedals actually engaging the brake pads, working lights, a starter button that would atleast imitate an engine starting. I wonder if I am asking for too much.

RE: Update on models available in your cities
Not really Winston
I mean I can swap the whole engine of my 1:1 car with that kind of money.Thats why asked the guys here, is the price of Ford GT justified ??? |
