Oh man, you must be feeling so happy for your first 1:18s. Vasanth, we all end up with buying LOT more than what we plan, thats the bad thing about this hobby hehehehehe . But the best part is, it must have felt great to do joint shopping with a fellow collector. If you plan to visit modelart, do take a camera and take some pics there. Since you are from Bangalore why don't you raid their godown in Lavelle Road CoolBig Grin

RE: My First 1:18 Lambos
Man even i am dying to add some 1:18 beauties to my garage but not in positon to shell out even a single penny.

There is toy shop (It claims to be the oldest toy shop of Delhi), and man its full with 1:18 Bburgo models, the list is too enticing Murceilago, Gallrado, Miura, 911 Turbo, Viper and what not.

I visited it minutes back and after holding a box which has 1954 Red 300 SL Gullwing in there i came back but to keep the frustration in check bought a kinsmart 1:30 Renault Clio V6 and a Kinsmart 1:28 Mini cooper s.

By the way congrats alanjg for you new accqusition.

Hey Bandhav, do you have any contact no. of this shop you mention? And any idea if they deliver models to customers in other cities? I have been after the miura for quite some time now and Bburago is one maker that's not so easy to find especially because even modelart do not sell them.

Andy was so excited when he saw the orange monsterTongue That too there were two pieces to choose from, so we checked minute details and bought the piece.
You are right Aritrim, We did end up buying lots of things than we had planned initally, the bad part always is when i see the bank balance after such major unplanned spending Tongue It was so much fun to shop with fellow collector as i took lot of opinions and advice from alan while choosing models (yes, i did pick up few Tongue)
Will surely take pics of modelart next time we go there, probably in 2 weeks, Not sure if we can buy stuff from their godown.

Been through the same scenario and am still in it! Iam just postponing the inevitable (the shock of my creditcard bill!Sad) when i go shoppingTongue
I have never seen any Burago 1:18 models here! Sad How does it fare compared to maisto 1:18? I find few of their 1:24 ones better than maistos of same scale. 911 turbo and viper are drool worthyWink Please take some pics and post these beauties next you go there.

RE: My First 1:18 Lambos
Congrats on your first 1:18 Lambos Alan. Great choice with those cars and in the right colors too. Do keep an eye peeled for Burago's Diablo and Countach.

When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk.
