Smile Slix's Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34) [1:24 Bburago]
Nissan Skyline GT-R (R34)

The Skyline is another of my holy grails only because a good model in 1:24 is almost impossible to find. I believe this is an old Maisto mould or something that Bburago reproduced as I've seen a similar pimped up version in one of their very old catalog in different colors & better graphics. As a model this doesn't appeal much to me even though that shade of blue looks very nice & that spoiler is really cool. But that bulky nose has spoiled the otherwise spectacular face of the car. The stupid graphics/decals just make it worse, the one on the hood is the worst. Sad I would try & make the hood carbon-fiber if am able to find the wrap. Wheels could've been better, but not that am complaining. And even with these disappointments I still love it to bits as it is after all a Nissan Skyline GT-R. Smile It would've looked amazing if it was full blue with no decals & a stock front bumper. In short, the rear part is awesome & the front is completely the inverse. I would anyday display it parked the other way round & that's what I've done in the photos too, most of em has the back. Tongue

Delayed this one super late just because I was not satisfied with the results of the multiple shoots I did for this model. And the reason for that is the blue color on the car. I've mentioned it earlier too that none of my cameras were able to produce the shade as it appears to the human eye. Anyhow, was going through my storage again & found these photos & thought its better that I post 'em. Shortlisting some shots from all the shoots & also did a lil retouching & brought the color somewhat closer to what it really is like. You'll notice that color is slightly different in each pic.
Without a further ado, I present you the visual treat. Wink

Enjoy!

Even though I am not a fan of those decals, they seem to gel well with the overall appeal of the car with her huge front nose!
BTW, I love that spoiler- totally OTT!

A very whacky and different model of one of my favorite cars - I wouldn't mind something like that in my collection minus the decals.
Nice pictures mate! How about some more of the interiors and the engine bay etc?

Everything you said, the feeling is mutual! You can see that in the write-up. Drinks
As I mentioned these pics are from cancelled shoots I did back in October last year. I was fed up before I could get to the interiors & stuff. I'll try & cover that up soon. Smile

You're right. That rear end looks very very cool. And the colour is quite amazing. It does look like it's wearing something else's front end though. On top of its own!Tongue

Cool car Slix. Never liked decals on a car but the Nissan looks really good with them on.
On first looks to the front grille, it reminds me of cars from the movie “Death Race” not that the Nissan was in it. Tongue
Great pics and the flag background has again played magic with the car.

Decals look fine on a Skyline as it's famous in the street racing tuner scene. And I guess that's whats the inspiration behind this livery. But the particular decals this has doesn't look appealing. LOL at the Death Race part. Tongue
Thanks mate, and actually this shoot was done before the Camaro's. Technically this is my 1st model to be clicked on the checkered flag base. Smile
