Rescuing a McLaren F1.
This car was in a very very sorry state when I received it. One side window was missing and one was broken, the doors were both broken and so was the engine cover. The paint had scratches and bubbling and the headlight glasses were stained with superglue stains. The mirrors were also missing.
I have managed to iron out some of the problems like the paint and exterior scratches with a new fresh coat of paint. The doors are still broken, however I have glued them on now. The stains on the headlights seem to be stubborn and they aren't budging at all. BUT, at least now, she displays well in the showcase. I still have to paint the rear spoiler. ![]() ![]()

RE: Rescuing a McLaren F1.
A UT Models example, isn't this? That colour looks slightly wrong on this car but the paint finish seems quite good. All the best!!I hope you succeed in restoring this to its former glory.

RE: Rescuing a McLaren F1.
Yes, This is a UT model The color looks spot on for the car as I like exotic colors on exotic machinery. I am going to do a comparison between this, the yellow 458 and the green balboni to show you guys the difference in shade. That said, I hope I had all the parts of the car so It could be a complete model. As of now, the car doesn't have mirrors and side glasses.

Cyrus, I love the McLaren F1 in yellow. I was so hoping Autoart makes it in this color. Here is my yellow Mac.
If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit. ![]() |

Nice job there cyrus, Onlu thing the car looks plain, put some green stripes / decals / livelry and it will work wonders.
