1:18 Mercedes Benz CLK DTM AMG Street
Here are my 1:18 Mercedes Benz CLK DTM AMG Street Coupe and Convertible (C209/A209) by Kyosho.
A special version of the CLK,the CLK DTM AMG Street sports car looks similar to the full race car for the German Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters racing series which had to use a normally-aspirated 4.0 litre V8 limited to less than 500 bhp.100 Coupes and 80 Convertibles were released for sale in Europe using AMG's supercharged 5.4 litre V8 now producing 582 bhp and 800 Nm.The front and rear track are widened by 2.9 and 4.2 inches (74 and 110 mm) respectively and special tires and suspension modifications allow the car to pull 1.35 g (13 m/s²) of lateral acceleration.0 to 62 mph acceleration is just 3.8 seconds and top speed is limited to 322 km/h (200 mph).
Unlike the Coupe version,a speed limiter further reduces the Cabriolet's top speed to 300 km/h (188 mph).
Owners of the CLK DTM Cabriolet include former McLaren Mercedes Formula One drivers Juan Pablo Montoya and Mika Häkkinen. Häkkinen competed in the DTM 2005–2007.Former McLaren Mercedes Formula One driver Kimi Räikkönen and current McLaren Driver Jenson Button both own the hard-top version of the CLK DTM AMG.
The photos.

Gotta love the CLK DTMs! Now, these are proper old school Mercedes designs. The AMG performance bits lend aggression to her elegance. That red color is very striking and Kyosho has done a brilliant job in replicating the model, especially the front end- it just looks so beautiful!

Great pictures to capture her beauty, Pacman Smile

The Coupe is more a hardcore road racer while the Cabriolet serves better as the exotic poser. This fact becomes more obvious when you look inside.

Full racing harnesses,a fire extinguisher and no rear seats.

Another splendid addition to the AMG lline up. Love the coupe and the convertible.
The interiors in the coupe are far better since they add up to the whole AMG racing feel.
The red color looks awesome on the coupe but come on Pacman, finish the silver AMG line up by getting the coupe also in that brilliant color. Wink
And again great pics.

And finally a colored (no, silver/white/black are not colors Tongue ) AMG in your fleet. Looking hot!
Love these wide-bodies Mercs, and those classic headlamps. Big Grin
That soft-top looks real soft & sexy. And the steering wheel on the coupe. Wink

Oh & Petrolhead, can you temme why the tail lamps on the coupe & the covertible a lil different?

Thanks for the compliments, scalemodels and Slix!!
Only way I'll buy a silver coupe just to complete the silver line-up is if I get one for a basement bargain.Big Grin And like I've said before, not all my AMG models are silver.Just the ones I took out for this shoot.Wink
As for the difference in tail-light clusters,Slix,I'm not sure of the reason it exists.I think the Cabriolet came almost a year after the Coupe was released. The difference in the look of the lamps may be due to a design upgrade that was introduced across the E-Class and CLK-Class ranges for that Model Year.No real idea though.
