hello, I'm new here and this is my first post. I came across this model on the maisto website a few days back and sort of fell in love with it. i especially liked the harley davidson versions of it. I was wondering if you could tell me the price of your example. also do you think the harley davidson edition would be more expensive than the base model? and are they easy to come by in most model stores?

Hi, first things first, welcome to SMC. You can start off by a lil intro HERE followed by some pictures of your collection.

Now coming to your post, the feeling is mutual mate, even I'd fallen in love with this one at first sight as I love hot-rods. I liked this paintjob the most specially cuz of those pinstripes. The Harley versions are a new release which came out in late 2011. I really like one of the 3 liveries they've released, might add it in future. I picked this up last year in January for 750INR & I believe the prices have gone up. The H-D editions must be lil expensive than this even though this is not the base model either. This is the All Stars edition hence all that custom hot-rod look. The base model of this car used to sell for 550INR which must've risen to 650 now. I think the whole H-D edition range of cars in 1:24 is retailing for some 900+ bucks after the last price hike. As for the availability, I never came across the one I have, I bought it from eBay but other members have seen this in stores. As for the Harley ones all I've seen are the Mustang's & a few F100 pickups. I think the Model A Harley versions haven't arrived in India yet. But don't worry, they will come sooner or later, good luck & keep collecting!

Thanks for the info! I'll probably go looking for it next time I go home. I'll try the modelart store in bangalore. they can usually procure something for you if they dont have it in stock... I hope it doesn't burn a hole in the pocket though.

@Manish: There is a reason why I keep doing that. You wanna know what? Here it is, when I'd joined in last year no one told me about that thread, it was only after a few months that I came to know about it but then I didn't really felt like putting up an intro, it was too late. It wouldn't have been the same as it would've been on the first few days. I don't want any other newbie to miss it, I feel really bad I don't have an intro on that thread. Though it doesn't seem to work but that wont make me stop doing that.
Anyways, true about SMC becoming popular, we've had a lotta people signing up, lately. Its really nice, I guess facebook has something to do with it.
