Scale Models at Auto Expo India 2012
Hey guys the Auto Expo India 2012 is just around the corner.
It is that moment which comes in every two years for which a car enthusiast waits eagerly.

So, since this whole forum is about the set of wheels one can keep in his shelf and not the ones he can drive around, let’s talk SMC talk.

As I haven’t got the opportunity to actually visit any of these Indian Auto Expos till now, I have no knowledge if the car manufacturers sell any scale models in the Expo. So, can anyone give me any insight if the 1:1 manufacturers have sold any product (be it a 1:18 or a 1:43) in the previous year’s Auto Expos or have they any intention of selling them this time?

Thank you.

RE: Scale Models at Auto Expo India 2012
I remember TATA-Fiat & BMW selling scale models at the last auto expo. I bought scale 43 Linea and the Nano was outta stock.
And I also remember some premium models on sale some 6 or 8 yrs back, I saw a Maybach being sold at 2k then was outta my reach. Smile

RE: Scale Models at Auto Expo India 2012
Tata sold 1:43 Norev scale-models of the Nano,Indica Vista and Manza at the 2010 show.Fiat also had 1:43 Norev scale-models of the Punto,Linea and 500 unless I'm mistaken.Skoda usually has some great 1:43 Abbrex scale-models of their line-up.I also read somewhere that Mercedes Benz had some 1:18 and 1:43 Dealer Editions for sale at their pavilion. There is also a video on YouTube of the miniatures that were available at the BMW stall in 2010.Saw a couple Art Cars in that video including the very very rare 1:18 Andy Warhol BMW M1 Procar.BMW had 1:18 models of their present line-up as well as some classics and some motorsport legends at their pavilion last time.I am mostly visiting the Auto Expo this year.Hope I find some good stuff.
Oops!I mean 'Abrex'.Not 'Abbrex'.
