Im piking up the CMC one maybe when I go to London in a couple of weeks. Or maybe the CMC 250 Ferrari. I saw the Autoart version unclose and I didn't like it as much as the CMC. that said, she is a lovely lovely car.

Congrats Chanakya! You are real lucky to get this as a gift. This one is at the top of my wish-list but the price is preventing me from buying it, at this moment. DCM has the same one listed at INR 11,995 Sad

Anyways, enough of sulking. The model is really beautiful with good amount of detailing. The beige seats compliment the car beautifully. Thank you for treating us with the photographs. Waiting for some more.

You made my morning with this one, Chanakya. I cannot think of a 1:18 I'm more in love with at the moment than the Atlantic, be it in either colour.

Congratulations on the acquisition of what is probably the most beautiful automobile ever to have been replicated 18 times smaller. Smile

RE: 1938 Bugatti Atlantic 57SC - Autoart
This is as beautiful as it can get, the black color with those cream interior and wood work gives nice combination. The engine bay is nicely detailed. The firewall plates tough have never seen before pattern and is a small let down. If we see CMC the color combination in engine bay is better than this rendition, the CMC one being more closer to the real car.

Comparing the price and then shipping cost, this car is a winner hands down.

I like the black, makes it more of a Bugatti

Thanks!

Thanks! You're right - black interiors would have ensured an almost-perfect replica of the Ralph Lauren car. I do like the beige interiors, though.

They did it well on the Veyron dashboard but messed it on this car. The engine turned effect on the firewall. For more reference, check here >>>Peter Giddings Racing <<<. Here is a pic from the site.
Here is another link. Bugatti Type 57 and a pic.

While it might not take away very much from the model, I would be very pissed if I had to own this model and for the price they are asking.

Hats off Winston. You guys really know your cars! Maybe the blue CMC will solve this....Wink

You're right, the CMC is detailed right down to the license plate (IIRC). Like I said, I would have saved up and gone for the CMC, but this wasn't a gift worth turning down! Big Grin I do hope you end up buying either of the two CMCs that you're wishing for. I too long to own a CMC some day.

Thanks abhi! Yes, I love the interiors too. Helps to bring out all the details quite well!

Yup, the CMC is the definite winner here. But she's not too bad, either!

RE: 1938 Bugatti Atlantic 57SC - Autoart
Chanakyav, the engine turned design is a work of art. Back in the 1920s and 30s, the pattern must have been a time taking exercise. But nowadays you can find it even on everyday furniture. The food courts in the Infinity malls in Bombay have this pattern on their aluminum tables.
I was checking out CMC Bugatti Atlantics on the net and I should say Autoart is better than CMC atleast in making an effort to show the design or the near abouts. CMC just uses a plain plate for the fire wall. Sad

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.
