Jaguar E-Type Series 1 Coupe and Cabrio by Burago.
Upon her launch in 1961, even Enzo Ferrari proclaimed her to be the "most beautiful car ever made" - however, I digress with his opinion.
For me she is the most beautiful after the 250 GTO, Miura and the 300SL- 3 cars, who together, occupy that top slot in my mind at No.1.

But being 2nd is no problem here, just look at that shape! She was the chick-est of the 60's sports car. The affordable price meant that from celebs to the family man- everyone could afford one- this one sold over 70,000 units in her life span!

Great model by Burago, the shape is right, paint is good, the details are there, but she is rough around the edges. Certainly not bad for a 15+ year old mold - though I would love to own a "proper" model of her!

On to the pictures now boys:

Guggga, I agree with you. For me the 250 SWB is the most beautiful car in the world. But since every 'beautiful car in the world' list is devised by British motoring hacks, the E-Type gets to be no. 1 by default. I also love the 300 SL, the Shelby Cobra, the Miura and last but not the least the E Type cabrio. I think the coupe will not qualify in that list though. It looks odd except for that very cool side opening boot lid.

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.

Thanks praah! Yep, english cars in BRG always look cool Smile
I love vintage Jags! Would love to get the DType and XJ13 someday too. I think Jags have a lot of character and are soulful designs.

Hahaha! Good perspective about the Brit jurnos Smile
I love the Shelby Cobra as well, alongwith the 65 Corvette Stingray - they both are on that no.1 spot in my books as the most beautiful cars ever made. Thanks for reminding me because I forgot those two icons! Smile

The E-type coupe is pretty cool too, I don't find it odd at all, its a sexy lithe slippery design. But I have to agree, the roadster looks more elegant and boderline "muscular" between the two.

Very nice that you got your hands on both versions of the E-Type. Superb pics as usual with STIG stealing the pose between the twoXyxthumbs
