Now that's one beautiful pair!!Lovely colours you got them in,Guggga.I have one of the really old 'Made In Italy' Bburago examples of the roadster and it isn't in the best shape. It's also in a horrid yellow colour that's just wrong on this breathtaking car.I'm waiting for the AutoArt re-release now.But I have to say that these two Bburago renditions you have here look absolutely sensational.Very neatly finished and the curves are just outstanding.
Great photography as always!!

Thanks Pacman, always good to hear your perspective ![]() Is Autoart making the Series 1 E-Type? I seem to have missed that news! I hope they do, I'll be the first in line to buy one- contrary to most of their other models! (12-09-2011 06:04 PM)srinjayray Wrote: +1 for giving life to the 15 year old models. Great shots \m/ Stingray! Thanks so much for the rep The models are 2 years old, but that mold is 15 years old and you gotta give it to Burago for shaping it accurately. Doesn't have the micro detail of the newer models, but still can holds it own, like you noticed and appreciated

Yes.AutoArt does have the Series I lined up for the second quarter of 2012.They are making the Roadster and Coupe.Photos of the pre-production samples can be found on their German website.
They've also got the Series II (Roadster and Coupe) and the Series III (Coupe) in the pipeline but they haven't announced when these might get made. They're already done the Series III Roadster but I don't know if it'll be re-released.The XJ-13 will also most likely be re-released with a box that has 'Upgraded' written on it.I doubt whether any actual 'upgrades' will make their way onto the XJ-13 though. The original release is better detailed than most of AutoArt's newer offerings. A bit of a typo in the above post: 'They've already done the Series III Roadster...' Inside every man is a little kid who wants to play. |

Gugga,
Bro both car are the finest example of British engineering and in colors that suites them. Lucky that you have both of the examples. Made in Thiland makes it even more desirable. |

^^ Thanks for the kind words Manish
![]() The coupe is made in Thailand but the older cabrio is of Chinese make. In my opinion and experience, the older ones are better than the newer ones. But then again, the Miura by Burago is old but very poorly done, whereas the 8C is new but done so well :S With Maisto and Burago, you just need to keep an eye out for the better done models and take a buying decision only after doing your research on them - seeing lots of pictures and reading opinions ![]() (12-09-2011 06:40 PM)Petrolhead Wrote: Yes.AutoArt does have the Series I lined up for the second quarter of 2012.They are making the Roadster and Coupe.Photos of the pre-production samples can be found on their German website. Thanks for the information Pacman ![]() I might get the XJ-13 if that is priced within reasonable limits <---- High hopes! GAH! |

I am sharing Karan's thread of his Etype coupe, with excellent pictures of the car and the engine bay. The engine bay is mostly chrome, but has a lot of detail that I have seen being picked out very well, doing simple work by modelers on other forums. http://www.scalemodelcarz.com/enter/thread-174.html Here's another gem from Karan's collection that you will be interested in - Signature Jaguar Xk120 - an extremely rare and beautiful model: http://www.scalemodelcarz.com/enter/thread-113.html Also, check out the Duessenberg, another gem in Karan's collection, that is right up your alley: http://www.scalemodelcarz.com/enter/thread-152.html Cheers
