My Collection (from where it all started)
Hello All!
Hope everyone had a rocking Sunday. As Sunday is that day of the week when we get up late, laze around, have a relaxed sumptuous breakfast (like my wife prepared cheese-ham omelette XD) and sometimes dig out old stuffs out of the cupboard/ storage areas. Similarly I was digging out stuffs and came across these 3: Honda CBR (Maisto) Scale is supposed to be 1/18 (don’t remember exactly as nothing is mentioned on the model and I got it when I was in school and didn’t have much idea about scale models or the hobby). The quality is poor as you can see the rust in the disc brakes, chain and other parts. BMW Police Bike (Maisto) forgot the model name Ditto as the CBR Pronto Plymouth Spyder (1/35 by Maisto & a pull back) I bought this as a pull- back car way back in 1998 and wasn’t aware that it is a 1/35 scale from Maisto. You can see the doors alignment dismantled. The paint of the car is very ordinary and only the doors can be opened. Harley Davidson look-alike This is not a scale model but just a model made with Gun metal. I have captured it just because of the craftsmanship and I think it’s beautifully crafted. It was a gift from a friend on my last birthday. So lets the photos do the talking and I hope you will like the models (despite their faults). It was kind of a journey down the memory lane for me. Have a great week ahead. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Some more ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() A little effect:

RE: My Collection (from where it all started)
Abhi that Honda is NR and not a CBR, this was one of the most advanced Superbike of it's time though it was not a commercial success.

Sorry for the mistake and thanks Bandhav for the rectification. This purchase was so old that I don't even have the box with me now. Love that bike sculpture made entirely out of machine parts. The spring exhaust pipe and ball-bearing wheels are brilliant.I love these little works of art made from old garage junk.Your bike reminds me of this superb sculpture I bought a little while back of some kind of post-apocalyptic-tribal-cyborg-man that I recently gifted to my cousin thanks to the acute shortage of space at home.It was about as tall as a fire hydrant and made completely out of old bike parts.Had suspension spring limbs, disc brake feet,a ball-bearing stomach, sprocket hands, hair made out of chains with a spark plug bazooka on the shoulder!!Loved it!!!!
This is a great thread,Abhiroop!!We all love a trip down memory lane and your bike models have reminded me of the very few old ones that I've got.I'm not into bikes at all which is why I never actually bought myself a scale-model bike but I love each two-wheeler model I have simply because they were all gifts from loved ones.Cheers!! Inside every man is a little kid who wants to play. |

RE: My Collection (from where it all started)
I've seen all of these several times at your place but your shots still make them special. These photos are way way better than your last lot of uploads, way to go man. And I would have picked the Harley for myself if she wouldn't have bought it for you
Anyway i'm happy that it went into the right hands Keep your photos coming.I've seen all of these several times at your place but your shots still make them special.
