RE: Just a question!
Hey, are those bubble gum wrapper/ stickers inlays?
I faintly remember something like these- though much less exotic, that were wrapped with bubble gum when i was a kid. Its a very faint memory though... |

RE: Just a question!
I remember these too. Like Guggga said, some candy and bubble gum used to come wrapped in this. I actually first seen a Lamborghini Diablo on one such wrapper. My friends used to collect such wrappers.
If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit. ![]() |

RE: Just a question!
I remember BIG FUN with the cricket wrapper, never seen any car stuff. Neat idea back then, their sales must have been very good considering that every other kid were collecting these.

RE: Just a question!
Yes is true, were coming with buble gum. I'm a collector, for about 20 years. In eastern Europe these are a legend, the first series of Turbo gum, the first picture, is very rare, it was coming in the lately 80's. I have some numbers missing and I'm looking for them.

(10-14-2011 08:25 PM)Petrolhead Wrote: Are they still made??If not,how will you go about looking for them? No, they stoped making them back in 2003. After they produced another variations of Turbo. I collect everything, but mainly the original Turbo. Like I said in eastern Europe are many collectors, because being produced in Turkey they sold the product here. ON ebay the prices, one of them are ridiculous high. I have the entire series of Turbo, from 50 to 540, almost 10 years of collecting. The collectors have many facebook pages, just search with Turbo gum and even one site, where we upload the new addition. Cheers! |

RE: Just a question!
Wow, they sure look very interesting, pity that the kids today have no charm for such things...
I still have a diary i used to maintain of all the file cards from GiJoes i got. I used to paste all sorts of riff raff in it ![]() @ Sergio: Good luck finding the ones you missing mate, unfortunately we don't get these in India. Though I like the name of that gum- Turbo! |
