Not yet.I suppose you can expect it in future Creative Education or Automania consignments.

Gift Centre recieves its AutoArts from Creative Education. So you won't find the 914 there either.Best option is buying online.Or you can wait...like me.

You guys intend to spend 5k plus on this? Why? I mean, what is so special about this model. It looks like a Standard Herald to me. Also, off topic. I went to the shops keeping the styrene sheets. Its on the SV road, Goregaon West. Lots of stores keeping various guages and colors of the sheets. They will also sell it to you in small sizes but expect to pay more. I didn't stay long for much because the damn road is narrow and crowded and the traffic cop was breathing down my neck to move my car.

I suppose if you're building a Porsche/Volkswagen line-up,a 914 couldn't hurt.I guess it is a bit of an oddball so I quite like it.I am also rather fond of the styling. It's really very low slung and a properly tiny little thing.Cool in an unusual kind of way.But I can see why many don't find it appealing thanks in no small way to its complete lack of market success.Same reason most believe the new Honda City Turbo II scale-model is the dumbest thing AutoArt's ever done. But I love that quirky little bugger too!

As sid mentioned, we love the shape and I in particular want this after the 356 to have to the classic collection of VW and Porchse. And thanks for the update on styrene sheets. what is the local name that they call for those styrene sheets and what kind of shops were they. I will look for similar ones in Bangalore. Gents, can we have the head count of people looking for the 914. may be then we can give the numbers to creative education so as to get the same in their next consignment. |

Manish, sorry to rain on your parade, but Creative Education does not work that way. They get what they want or what their exporter sitting in Hong Kong wants to put around their necks. Also, I wouldn't advice you to make a commitment with them. Pricing by Autoart is wayward these days and the last thing you would want is to pay extra for a model. Also bad QC from Autoart could have you guys weeping and gnashing your teeth.

And in past too they have not paid heed to my calls on many classic models by autoart. I thought maybe I am the only one ordering these. Any way, I that does not works, I will order it from online.

RE: 1:18 Porsche 914 Orange by Autoart.
That's right. With Creative Education, you can buy what you like from what they bring in but there's no point placing orders for models they don't have in stock. This time they were considerate enough to circulate a list of the models their Honk Kong based exporter had available before they placed their order for the latest shipment.Nikhil had sent me this list and asked me if there was anything I wanted in particular but the list comprised pretty much everything AutoArt presently makes with the exception of most of the very latest offerings.I couldn't narrow my favourites down to a reasonable number
and knowing Creative Education I thought any attempt would be futile anyway. Was also a bit cash-strapped when I recieved the e-mail.If they are thoughtful enough to do this again next time,I think I'll ask for atleast one model I really want but don't think they'll order anyway and see if my request is met by any kind of response.Cheers!
