^^ I should have added "unsuccessfully" before "convince" to that sentence.

Now I gotta get a red Autoart Carrera GT, which I currently have in silver from Maisto. This along with the ’64 911 and the 356 will be in Porsche line up, all of them being classic

Winston, I was so in love with the 959 that I actually downloaded the car separately from the official NFS website so that I could play with it in NFS Porsche And it was a crazy car alright in the game!! My other favourite was the insane 911 GT1 ![]() (10-10-2011 12:04 AM)Petrolhead Wrote: Aah!!I know that feeling. There is always so much that the heart wants. It can get difficult to pick.It has happened to me so many times.Everytime you come close to buying that one model you know you want, something else you want more comes along and crashes the party.Even lost out on a number of models this way.The Lamborghini Diablo SV,Lotus Espirit V8,Nissan Skyline (R34) GT-R Nismo Z-Tune are just a few of the models that never came back after I passed on them the first couple times. Will have to hunt them down on eBay once I start earning. Aaahhaa....isn't that always the story Sid?? There's just so much to buy at one time and the list is practically endless This is one hobby which requires a lot of tradeoffs every time.(10-10-2011 12:50 AM)Diecast Wrote: Congrats Karan ...to getting your dream car for long time in your hands... I have the 356B from Burago, a fantastic model from them and except for its size being an issue, everything else is quite good Here's the link to a thread I had posted way back - http://www.scalemodelcarz.com/enter/thread-112.htmlAnd will sure do let you know if I get to know of some deal for the F40 mate My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. RE: Porsche 959 (Autoart 1:18)
Karan, if you are just happy to have an F40, don't hesistate to get a HW. I have the normal hobby edition and it fills the gap nicely. True, it is missing some intricate detail but I am not so bothered. Get the Kyosho only if you are anal about the detail. Also remember that red and black colored Kyoshos have bad paint rash. I am not on a discouragement spree today but speaking from experience or rather bad experience.
If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit. ![]() |
