Merc driving experience
Yesterday I got this wonderful opportunity of driving a Mercedes Benz E350 Avantgrade. It belongs to a childhood friend of mine (rather his father's), which they got just a few days back. He usually comes over to take me for a spin whenever they buy a new car, since we both are car fanatics and I'm quite well known amongst my friends for to my driving skills and my years of experience of it. This time it was a Merc!!! Boy oh boy what an amazing machine it is. At first I was a little skeptical due to its size since I don't have any experience of driving a car as wide as an E Class. He gave me a 2 min-tip before I pressed on the gas pedal. It was magnificent, it was breath taking, it was a total jaw dropping experience. The smoothness and power everything was just beyond all my wildest imaginations, the cabin was absolutely soundproof. There were these different driving modes - Sports, Economy etc. I preferred the Economy mode and couldn't go beyond 60kmph since I had to be very very careful of the edges and the roads were crowded due to Durga Puja and there were cars parked allover. The car is equipped with so many gadgets among which I could only figure out the Drive, Park and Neutral gear positions and the indicators. I couldn't bother to learn any more since I had to concentrate fully on driving since my hands were on something worth 53 lakhs Tongue End of it I knew I had driven a Mercedes Benz Smile and I had to share this experience with you all Big Grin Big Grin Big Grin

Share if you have had experiences similar to this one \m/

RE: Merc driving experience
Congratulations!!Can't wait for the day someone lets me behind the wheel of a car I've always dreamt of driving.
And this brings me to an interesting question.Which is the one car you want to drive before you die?It would be a Lamborghini Murcielago or a Ferrari F40 for me.What about you guys?

Inside every man is a little kid who wants to play.

RE: Merc driving experience
Sid, I couldn't possibly choose just one car. My choice(s) of car, and the road I'd choose to drive them on would be, an Aston Martin Vantage - doesn't matter where I drive it, a Ferrari F40 - on a nice twisty Appenine road in Italy, a Ferrari 400 Superamerica on highway 101. I wish I owned a Mercedes 560 SEC man, that'd be somethin'. Damn Sid! you had me dreaming away.

Srinjay, the E350 is a nice car. Congratulations Smile

RE: Merc driving experience
Congrats Sri. Fiddling with gadgets would be the last thing in my mind too if I ever got a chance to drive a luxury sedan.
And to answer Sid, I would take a McLaren F1 anyday, anywhere, anytime.

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.
