Uploading pics on SMC
Hi folks, since we are all in India and most of us would now and then experience slow internet browsing speeds, it would be better if everyone uploads pics with smaller resolutions like 800x600 which would also have lesser size (in range of about 50 to 100 KB).
You could use the Faststone image editor which Diablo has mentioned in the thread http://www.scalemodelcarz.com/enter/show....php?tid=9
I recently downloaded this software and it is just perfect for editing pics in a single batch. Size of the software is about 1.32MB.
Alternately, you could follow this process which I would do until now before I downloaded above software :
1. Download pics from digital camera to computer. At this stage, size of an image is normally more than 1 MB and very high resolution.
2. Open up each pic in MS Paint and just save it without doing any editing, this would automatically reduce the pic size to about 200+ KB.
3. Now open this pic in MS Picture Manager (which as a part of MS Office) and resize the image to 800x600 and save it, after which the image would be of considerably lesser size of about 50 to 90 KB.

There would hardly be any difference in quality and this is sufficient enough to show off on SMC and would also help in quicker uploading and viewing.

I think you want to upload pics in full size like Diablo does while showing his collection rather than upload small thumbnails.
For that you would have to use Imageshack website and Diablo has more idea on how to do that so maybe you can ask him.

Alan, use this link.
http://www.imageshack.us
Upload your photo when they ask you to do so.
They will generate a couple of links.
Copy paste the link which says 'Hotlink for forum 1'
Repeat the procedure for the rest of the pics. I hope this helps.
