RE: Coming Soon!!
Sid...I just hope Autoart do manage to make that Countach LP5000S and also hope that Modelart are sensible enough to import it. Even if they charge 10,000 bucks for it, I'm ready to pay that much for it. The car means a lot to me and for me, it is THE HOLY GRAIL, the mother of all supercars. Right now, there's only 1 or 2 Autoart Countach's to be found on ebay and they go for around $350.
My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston) ![]() picasaweb.google.com/karansharma8783 |

RE: Coming Soon!!
That bus looks well-made,Manish.Will Revell release a completely built version??
I remember seeing a similar 1:24 London Bus by Corgi some years ago.Gift Centre had one in a beautiful silver.I guess it was supposed to resemble an unpainted bus or something.By the time I decided I wanted it,however,it was gone.Never seen one since.I like the SunStar versions.Hope to get one of those someday. The gussed prices are 1/3 rd to 1/4 th of the Sunstar 1:24 London Bus. I have seen the london bus by sunstar with our member siddvi, the bus awesomeis . It is yet to be seen that if the Revell kit matches up to the Sunstar one in terms of detailing. Corgi does make some london busses, but I rarely see 1:24 online. Bombay guys are lucky to have Gift centre. I am a bigtime fan of European and British Classics . The Model art in Bangalore has very limited options in that respect.I asked KV about London Bus by Sunstar and he told only two versions are available. (as opposed to internet where 6 -8 type of versions are available), and if I want he can arrange for the same. I did not took it further. |

RE: Coming Soon!!
I agree with you Manish. we are really lucky to have shops like GC in our city. But that is only half the story. Its like a museum trip. You can gawk and salivate but you can never buy the stuff. The prices are indirectly proportionate to the amount of cash we have in our pockets. The models we want are out of reach and the models we can afford are no longer desirable.

RE: Coming Soon!!
Actually,Manish, the buses KV speaks of are the ones that Gift Centre imported.Only two versions came in.With just two pieces of each. All four examples were sold out immediately only for both examples of one of the versions to be returned thanks to an amusing (Only if you're not the importer,Nikhil Shah.) oversight on SunStar's part. These defective examples had a pair of loose seats each on their second storeys.A problem that is eye-wateringly difficult to fix.
