A big hello to all the "addicts" from Abhishek!
Guys I'm Abhishek from Thane, Maharashtra. I've been an avid follower of all things diecast for some time now however I wouldn't call myself a collector and insult guys like winston and i'm sure many more of you on this forum who I don't know yet. That said i'm at the crease for my second innings and this time I intend to score big! Mainly interested in getting myself some "premium" must-haves this time around. Dunno if this is the right place to post this but heres my wishlist, intend to get 1 model a month!
AutoART Bugatti Veyron RED/BLACK Kyosho BMW 750Li F02 [unable to decide between Grey/Blue] Minichamps Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Minichamps Mercedes-Benz AMG SL65 Matte Black All in 1:18 ofcourse, that's my preferred scale. Any help about where to source these will be really appreciated! Cheers! Abhishek |

Welcome!!! This is the right place to talk about your die-cast needs.
Here is your source to the Bimmer :http://www.dreamcarmodels.com/product_details.php?proid=625&pid=23,62,6 This is the place from where we all make most of our purchases. For the rest of it you have to keep your eyes open. There is Automania in Mumbai and hundreds of sellers on ebay - but you have to understand the best deal and make your pick. Wait here, there are way more experienced collectors than me who'll guide you. Btw where are you from????

Your wishlist is cool, and all the models in your rather short wishlist , are easily available in our city. Like Srinjay said, try Automania (Prabhadevi), and like you, I need the SL65 AMG matte black badly. If I may, the blue 7 looks a lot better than the grey.

RE: A big hello to all the "addicts" from Abhishek!
Thanks for the welcome guys! @srinjayray I am from Bombay, Thane to be precise. I did check out the Grey 750Li on DCM but there is a slightly expensive Blue on vicki.in Any inputs from ppl who have seen the two models in person as to which one I should go for? Personally I love the Blue 7 Series but i'm not sure this is the right BMW Blue, if you know what I mean!

Any other places worth checking out in Bombay? I was just trying to order the Matte Black AMG on ebay, the damned transaction just won't go through without a paypal account. If you are able to source one locally, please hit me up! |

Take a look at this: http://www.scalemodelcarz.com/enter/thread-1201.html Piece of advice: Always contact the customer service of Vicky.in before buying anything on their site. First of all the product they're selling is usually completely different than the model featured in the Picture. Second, the model may not even be in stock even though it may be listed as 'in stock' Vicky.in doesn't have that good a reputation now a days!

RE: A big hello to all the "addicts" from Abhishek!
Rightly said 4thlord - vicky.in is not the best place to buy expensive stuff. http://www.dreamcarmodels.com/ is a very genuine place - the owner, Karamveer is a collector himself and a member of this forum. So if there is any complication with a model on display on his site, he will let you know personally without any hesitation. I think its better to spend money on the right model from a limited stock than ending up buying a wrong model.

Welcome to SMC, Abhishek! I'm sure you'll have a blast here.
As far as vicky.in is concerned, I'd just like to add - ditto to whatever has been said already. They simply can't seem to get their act together as far as fulfilling an order goes. The best place of course is DCM - so just go ahead and indulge! Enjoy your stay! |

RE: A big hello to all the "addicts" from Abhishek!
Welcome here,Abhishek!!Your spirited first post tells me you're going to have a blast on SMC.
![]() I like your wish-list.The 1:18 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 by AutoArt is available at Automania for Rs8995 in both the red/black and blue/black combinations.I also recommend you take a look at the 'Bleu Centenaire' I believe Automania has in stock. It has a breath-taking paint finish. The 1:18 BMW 750Li by Kyosho in grey is available on DCM as well as at Automania for the price listed on DCM.The models on vicky.in are actually from Gift Centre so that's where you'll find the blue 7-Series.Having got one in my collection,I have to say the blue one looks brilliant.I found the grey version a bit dull in comparison.Having said that,Gift Centre and so also vicky.in have it priced at Rs6995 which is WAY TOO MUCH.The deep blue paint, while awesome, does not justify that kind of premium. For 1:18 BMW models by Kyosho, also check the local BMW dealership.Do your research before you go because while some of the Dealer Edition models are very fairly priced,a few are not.The Minichamps on your list aren't available locally at the moment. The 1:18 Mercedes Benz SLS AMG in red is expected at Automania some time this year but the SL65 AMG Black is only available in grey. Hope this helps!! (By the way,I don't want to make Gift Centre sound like a complete rip-off.The owner's a gem of a guy and his store is a great place to source some excellent models. It's just his older Kyosho consignment that went wrong. He has some British classics by Kyosho that he brought in recently and they are fairly well-priced.) Inside every man is a little kid who wants to play. |

Already feel at home. @Petrolhead Thanks for the wealth of info you've provided, i'm thinking i'll start my second innings with the Bugatti Veyron from Automania. Will definitely pick it up this week and keep you guys posted with whatever else I come across at Automania and GC! I felt the same way about the pricing on the Blue 750Li, but I have a feeling i'll change my mind when I see it in person though!
