Accidental Purchase

Was in Nikko shop today (Singapore), to check on some thing exciting. Many exciting current generation stuff was there but damn expensive.

I was to settle for Guiloy 1:18 Delahaye 1937 (White or metallic red) or the Minichamps Opel Rekord both at 68 and 65 S$ it seemed a good buy. I disliked opel causeof paint issues and flawed stock. Pictures from the internet -

I went in for the Delahaye as i had been looking for the same. The engine was nicely detailed but the chrome, paint and the hinjes/ joints quality put me off, infact paint peeled of while opening the boot. Reproduced wheels were like a plastic toy car. I still went for it.

I paid for it and then I saw this beauty sitting in the corner. 1:18 by Autoart, now flaws except of some dirt in the interior, immediately went for it. The model costed me 65 S$. roughfly 2400 Indian bucks . I rarely buy current generation cars, but then this was a killer, the color is Metallic dark blue which looks just awesome. The pictures have not come out well due to dim lighting in the room. Once back I will post some nice pictures

I really need some of AutoArt's C5 and C6 Corvettes including this 2004 Z06 Commemorative Edition.Wish I'd picked some up when I had the chance.

They have some brilliant diecasts there.. last year when I went, I saw a few which I should have picked up.. but I was looking for something else and those models didn;t make sense to me..
Its only now I realize how many rare picks I missed out on... the 2 Face Honda Arrows F1 car, Ford Focus Test version, Subaru WRX Estate version and so many more..

Oh well! You live and learn!

By the way the shop has some more stuff 1:24 karaman ghia Minichamps for around 20 S$ and like.

Off topic: Bye the way cause of my undecided they swied and then cancled the amound. This has led my card being blocked. what a waste SBI is.

You'll find out where all my money went once the stuff actually gets delivered to my place.I still await confirmation on some of it at the moment.
As for the 1:24 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia by Minichamps,I saw a black convertible example at Automania not too long ago.Beautifully made and very attractive.But in the wrong scale. 1:18 would have been perfect.

Yes Sir this is a Corvette , also the ZR1 is so damn awesome. Actually I was interested in classics but then this car bowled me over. I am loving it.
