Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X- End of an Era.

Pacman, Ravi, GF and Winston. This one's for you guys.

For me Lancer is one of the most iconic sports sedans to ever grace the roads. Who can forget Mitsubishi Lancer's domination in WRC from 1996- 1999 in the hands of the original "Flying Finn" Tomi Makinen.

Not only was the Lancer dominant, it looked awesome crushing the competition! That design coupled with her brutal performance meant that a Lancer could keep up with more powerful sports cars and still be driven to work the next day. All wheel drive meant that it could be driven bonkers mad on tarmac, gravel, snow... throw anything at her and she would take it all.

All good things come to an end and Mitsubishi diplomatically state something to the effect which means that the Evo X is the last of the breed.

Moving on to the model. This is my first Lancer Evo. Infact. My first mitsubishi model.
I had to get this one to redeem myself for missing out on the previous Evos, which go for unrealistic prices now. Just yesterday, I saw a mis-spelled listing for a Evo VI Makinen Edition. With 1 min to go and just 71$ on her, I was fancying my chances.
It was bloodshed... the eventually ended at $147 ... Oh well!

For all it is worth, this is a great model by CSM, a Chinese manufacturer. They have managed to capture the stance and aggression of the 1/1 very well. The paint is excellent with nice metallic flake, the panel gaps are tight (gotta use a picking tool to open the 4 doors and bonnet), the lights front and back are done very well.

My only gripe is that the interiors, especially the seats could have been better. That said, the interior is ok by my standards.
Nonetheless, if you get a chance, don't pass this model. Its a befitting representation of the mightiest Evo that Mitsubishi has built.

Aha!!.This is one I've been waiting for.I really am in love with the Evo X.Looks very well done by CSM.I've gotta find me one of these.In this metallic red colour,it looks simply staggering.Particularly love that first pic you've taken of it with the figurine,Guggga.The surface you've placed it on for the last few photos has the coolest texture for shooting model cars on.Congratulations on acquiring this stunner!!!!
(I hope Gift Centre gets this as part of one of its small periodic consignments of similar Chinese brand scale-models.With online stores off-limits,that is the only hope I have of procuring one of these.)

Guggga, that's a really nice rendition of the Evo X man...congrats on getting this beauty!! The paint finish looks superb!! I would say this is quite close to Autoart quality externally. The interiors don't look that bad too How much did this set you back by?

All I can say for the X and Jaapani kaka is 'lean, mean fighting machine(s)'. Very crisp pics too Guggga, especially the ones with kaka-san. Keep them coming bro. Give that camera all the exercise it needs.

I'm sure the Japanese uncleji is smiling in the third last pic(when looking at the X)!! The stance is perfect and the this is the best color on the X

If GC gets these, grab them with both hands and feet! Its a very very well done model by CSM. I am now hoping to add one in blue and maybe even white - when, and if, they come out!

Thanks Karan, I agree, CSM nailed the stance and character of the car pretty much on this model.
This one cost me about $90 shipped.
