Each of the hearses comes with a wooden casket on a chromed bier. The caskets are padded inside and have a separate pillow:

You can remove the casket from the bier and load it into the hearse.

This is the 1959 Cadillac Superior Limousine hearse:

And this is the 1959 Cadillac Superior Landau hearse:

The 1959 Cadillac Superior Coupe De Fleur (flower car):

All 1959 Cadillac hearses have the same driver compartment:

And if you think the 59 Caddys are nice, you haven't seen the 1938 Cadillac V16 Art-Carved Panel Landau Hearse by Sayers & Scovill:

It comes with an insert to close the driver compartment:

The coffin deck can be moved back to facilitate loading:

The interior is as beautiful as the exterior:

And the overall detailing is mindboggling:

I am visiting after a long time and then I see this, these are real oddballs and nicely detailed. Never thought of these as a collectible scale models.

I like the way you collect the classic cars.

You have a real unconventional way of going about this hobby and its simply superb. These could be a part of very nice Dioramas.
Love the blend of wood and carpet.

Very well-detailed hearses, these.I'm sure they're quite rare.Definitely unusual.I don't know if I'd ever buy one to display in my collection. No way my mom's paying for one of these.Still,a very unique collection within what is...well...a very unique collection.A +1 to you,Junkman, for your awesome collection with a difference.
Cyrus,I think Junkman's located somewhere in England.

Very well detailed and unique ones at that. Really nice set of hearses you have Junkman.Xyxthumbs
I almost got one few months ago but then my better half was against having an hearse in the collection.
A model is a model is a model. Hope to add one in the future, this definitely will be on my bucket list.Big Grin

A hearse is a hearse
of curse, of curse
(with apologies to Mr. Ed)

Usually people don't die in a hearse. But they do in ambulances and oddly nobody finds it odd to collect those.
My better half cannot possibly have anything against hearses, real or model. I'm a funeral director.

WOW....truly a unique piece!! But I'll have to go with Mrs. Siddvi....I find collecting hearses a bit strange. Why have something that signifies death in a collection, IMHO.

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)
