Porsche 911 3.0 Turbo '75 | 1:18 | Autoart
Porsche began developing turbocharged versions of the popular 911 in the early 70s, and the fruit of this endeavour, the 911 3.0 Turbo, was born 3 years later, in 1975. This turbocharged version of the 911 was a fully equipped top-of-the-model-range version, the premise of which was to give Porsche a more direct competitor to the Italians' Ferrari and Lamborghini vehicles.
Autoart's 1:18 rendition of the '75 911 3.0t, though immaculate in its replication of the real deal, is badly packaged, and it is this insane packaging methodology that drives me up the wall. Anyway, here are some pics... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Where did you manage to find this beauty Karan?? I'm turning green with envy, I want this particular Turbo too in my collection. This one and the 993 Turbo are the best looking 911 Turbos Porsche ever made. The paintwork by Autoart looks super sizzling!!
My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston) ![]() picasaweb.google.com/karansharma8783 |

Speaking of "green with envy", the 'Viper Green' 993 is next on my list.

Spectacular. Love the model and I so wish to have one for myself in the same color. I have a book called Classic Cars and this particular Porsche is mentioned in it and guess what? In this exact same brown.

Hey groundforce, lovely PORSCHE and awesome color. The details is amazing especially the engine and the spoiler, i will see if the steering in the orginal had only the black logo, not the colored one. (Will check in NFS Porsche though)

Looks very good in this colour. But I can't understand what they didn't use the same hinges have been used before on 959. Is a new model, too. The interior looks very goos, I like how they replicate the punctured leather on the seats. The rear grill is metallic?

The brown is to die for, and I promise you that there have been times when I've had the urge to chomp on it, bumper-first. ![]() (07-04-2011 10:19 PM)channabasanna Wrote: Hey groundforce, lovely PORSCHE and awesome color. I'm pretty sure the rear grille is metal, though I guess I'm going to have to ask my grandma to check ('cause there's where I left it). . . . No, that was a joke, my grandma couldn't be bothered to entertain any of my requests pertaining to anything automotive.
