RE: What are your "Holy Grails"
For me it has always been and always will be the Lamborghini Countach QV5000 in white by Autoart. They go on ebay for as high as $300. I had a huge double-piece poster of it on my bedroom wall when I was in school. And it's there now in my avatar image.

There's a second holy grail for me below the Countach in priority and that's the modern Ford GT in yellow with black stripes, also by Autoart. Modelart used to have it in stock till only a few years back Sad

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

Danbury Mint 1:12 1930 Cadillac V-16 Roadster (price)
Solido 1:18 Renault 12 TS (just try to find one)
Solido 1:18 Simca 1000 L (same as with Solido R12TL)

If a man has a sex change, will he lose his ability to park a car?

RE: What are your "Holy Grails"
In case of stock models built by die-cast manufacturers, its got to be the Autoart Zonda R (Carbon fiber). But i'm saving up to buy it... hopefully will be mine in the near future! Smile

On the other hand, my real Holy Grail has got to be the AWESOME Kyosho BMW 750Li with complete LED pack!! (shown below). Blows my mind every time i see it! Big Grin

Its built my a guy in Denmark, who, on receiving your customized order, buys the model, adds the lighting and then ships the finished product to you.
They cost a bomb ($ 1000 upwards)

Gaurav. that BMW is superb. If I could afford it, i would definitely get one too. The amount of work going into it and the finesse is impressive. No half-assed, half baked efforts on this one.

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.

I agree!
In fact i was looking into doing something like this myself....
its just use of Fiber optics, LEDs, and some electronics.
However it needs a lot of time, patience and extreme care to prevent breakages...
i don't think i have the time or expertize to pull something like this off! Sad Sad
