1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R
I'll post all my 1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R road car scale-models in this thread.
First up is the standard car in Pearl White by AutoArt.The scale-model features the usual flawless finish and attention to detail that has become synonymous with AutoArt.Have to admit, however, these AutoArt models somehow feel a lot more fragile than the Kyosho stuff I've unpacked in the last few days. Also,AutoArt's lost the plot so far as packaging is concerned.Unpacking the two GT-Rs you'll see here took 20 minutes all of which my heart spent sitting in my mouth. They really need to take a good look at what Kyosho is doing.Kyosho's products are a lot more...'user-friendly'. Anyway, here are them photos. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks,Guggga and Abhi.
![]() Nope. This ain't my mobile camera but a Sony Cybershot 'point and shoot' contraption. The fuzzy picture quality is thanks to my own hopeless photography skills. Also, the white background seems to work a lot better than this black one. Inside every man is a little kid who wants to play. |

RE: 1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R
I agree on this too. The Kyosho is certainly the better pick. Also, Kyoshos are much easier to modify

RE: 1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R
Congrats Sid, i would like the GTR in black or the dark silver (donno to describe the color)
Agree with you regarding the packing of Autoart and Kyosho. After buying one each from Autoart and Kyosho i can tell that Kyosho packing is simply cool and very much best.

RE: 1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R
Thank you,guys.
Next,we have the 1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R SpecV by AutoArt. Here's some Wiki gyan on the the SpecV: Nissan introduced the GT-R SpecV on January 7, 2009 at the 2009 Tokyo Auto Salon.Exterior changes from the base GT-R consist of a carbon fiber rear spoiler, grille, and brake ducts, along with an exclusive Ultimate Opal Black paint job. Interior changes include a set of carbonfibre Recaro front seats with the rear seats being completely removed. Carbonfibre covers the center storage box, instrument panel, and replaces the majority of the interior trim. The GT-R SpecV is powered by the standard twin-turbo 3.8l V6 with no increase in horsepower. A new high gear boost controller that allows a temporary increase in boost pressure to the IHI twin turbochargers, now larger than those on the standard GT-R, should deliver more torque in mid to high-range revs. Other mechanical changes include a titanium exhaust, reworked suspension, carbon ceramic brakes, and 20-inch (510 mm) NISMO wheels. Overall weight is decreased by 132 lb (60 kg) over the standard GT-R. Japan sales began on February 2, 2009 at seven pre-selected dealers who are staffed by mechanics with special GT-R SpecV training and are knowledgeable of racing circuit driving. This AutoArt model is finished in the Ultimate Opal Black colour.I dunno if it shows in the photos but this colour is actually a very very dark shade of purple.I hope you like what you see! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

RE: 1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R
Thanks for sharing. I agree to the fact that Kyoshos are very strongly built where as the AAs have to be handled very very carefully, but never ever I knew that Kyosho has an edge over the Autoart on the replication and finishing factors. I've an Autoart GTR in my wishlist but from what you guys have told here I believe that I must go for a Kyosho version instead.
And mate, though the Cybershot ain't an SLR, you can still capture decent pics on it. I would suggest you to take the same shots under daylight instead of taking them inside your room. In your pictures the only thing that seems missing is enough light.

RE: 1:18 Nissan (R35) GT-R
Thanks,srinjayray.
I would like to point out that Kyosho only has an edge over AutoArt so far as packaging is concerned. Also,as you've pointed out,Kyoshos feel more more solid and are not quite as fragile as AutoArts. However, the AutoArt's quality, fit and finish and detailing are about as good as you can expect from a 1:18 scale-model.The Kyosho GT-R only leaves a better impression because while AutoArt has miniaturised the base model of the standard car,Kyosho's 1:18 scale-model is that of the 'Premium Edition' which features the snazzier dark chrome rims. Also, the Kyosho, while just as good as the AutoArt,should cost a fair bit less if you get a fair deal. Inside every man is a little kid who wants to play. |
