Total Spending and Annual Budget?
Hi Collectors,

Just wanted to know if you all have ever maintained any track of the total spending on purchase of scale models till date and do you probably have something of an annual budget on the purchases to be done? Just thinking on these terms and buying scales have become very expensive(tell me what has not become expensive Big Grin ).

Mods: I you feel this is not a relevant thread and would not be informative, please delete.

Live Curious..

RE: Total Spending and Annual Budget?
Nope never ever thought of doing a budget. I usually buy stuff according to my current finances. But recently I've stopped buying budget models, I buy less but prefer to go for the premium ones.

RE: Total Spending and Annual Budget?
Guys, first of all please post without thinking if a topic is revelant or not. As long as we try to stay away from religion and politics, we are doing fine.
Ok, back to the topic. I might remember near about what I have paid for every model of mine but never kept a record. It will serve no purpose other than giving me a nervous breakdown when I am older. It would also serve as a record for my kids to show to the judge why their father should be kept in a mental asylum when he is older.

If you can't dazzle them with brillance, baffle them with bullshit.

RE: Total Spending and Annual Budget?
I have spent about 70,000 in the last 3 years from the time I started collecting in 2008. Kept a record of all the models purchased till now, their price, purchased from where, colour, type of car, etc.

My favorite post on SMC "I wait for the day when you go ballistic while buying models after you get your first job. I think I would be seeing KV & the Modelart guys bursting fire crackers all day." (quote Winston)

^^ Hahahaha! Thats hilarious Ravi!

+1 to what Winston said. I shudder to think of what I could have got instead with all that money- oh well! Maybe it wouldn't be as much fun and satisfying... Though I have to admit, that with the current prices, its becoming kinda hard to justify buying models.

But then, like most others here, I am trying to be selective in what I want.

Problem is.. I want too much!

lol@Ravi. No need to worry. Diecasts are classified as toys and no one can tandoori your arse for buying toys.
